This idea is so great and the comic at the beginning makes me very happy. I could not for the life of me figure out the rules, I think I had to stop at the "circle with line" and also not touch other cars and only go when the Green circle is centered? Very imaginative world-building and the music is great, this is a better game than GTA5
interesting idea but I have no idea how I am supposed to figure out the driving rules, are there hints? :D
I echo the other feedback on this game. The graphics are very nice and I love the concept and world!! There just wasn't much to keep me interested after losing several times. Perhaps hints or a checkpoint system would help a lot to keep people engaged. Still great work overall!

I love the idea and the graphics are very nice and cohesive, but I was also overwhelmed by how many signals there are. I feel like I could learn them eventually, but the feedback on what counts as a mistake, and how many mistakes I can make, is fairly obtuse. I can rack up a dozen warnings without a game over if I floor it down what I think is the correct path, but passing through the first intersection results in an instant loss? A more visible (and more lenient) system of grading the player might help the player learn the rules of the road a bit quicker.
(EDIT: I did not see the penalty marks at the top of the screen because they were cut off by the border in the HTML version. My point about the instant loss through the first intersection still stands, though.)

nide DA and had fun figuring out the traffic rules !
The graphic side of this project is very charming. The cartoony spongebob-like aestethic works great, the sign designs are obtuse but recognizable. I had a fun time for the first ten minutes exploring around town to try and understand the meanings by watching the other cars. Overall a very interesting "imitation game", never seen this concept before !
However i couldn't get to the end, At some point i got stuck (on the turn after the road signal that's for the other cars) and I couldn't go any further from lack of understanding. Getting to that point on 2-3 infractions, I always got One-shotted there. If there were some clues I may have missed them, i didn't find the way to understand the game any further.
Great project, had fun experiencing it !
Neat premise, but it was a bit too unintuitive. I figured out what I think was a "stop and wait" sign in the middle of the roads by observing other vehicles, but there were other situations where I observed and repeated and instantly lost. It also felt generally weird to have an infraction counter that goes up to 7 but to lose with just one point against it, especially when I couldn't see why - I assume a cop or something coming up behind me, but I can't look around. Which comes back to the difficulty of observation, we can't really look or move around to see whats happening without violating the rules and losing.
I think if this had some more playtesting and iteration, it'd be a pretty fun little game. Which is pretty good praise for a jam entry.
Yay I win! But only because I cheated and went around the sensors. I really love the idea though! Art was fantastic
I love the art style, and this is a really unique idea! It was fun trying to figure out the rules and remembering the symbols. Also the car controls felt satisfying. However, a global speed limit of 8 felt too slow even for a game about following the rules. Seems like you didn't make the music yourself, so you might want to consider opting out of ratings for audio. Overall a fun game!

Really original game! Loved the comic at the beginning and the cheerful music. Couldn't quite figure out the traffic rules, but managed to brute-force my way to a win  When I kept dying from invisible collisions I thought it was a bug, but after a few attempts I realized it was a feature)
This looks very cool! Like the others, I'm a bit confused. I was hoping to find some answers in the comments.
But I did keep trying a couple of times, and I think I figured some of the traffic rules out, like the speed limit and the traffic lights, but the actual symbols on the signs were tough for me. It probably doesn't help that I don't drive IRL :p
The art style is cool and the fishhead aliens are a great design. The thin outlines and flat colours are very stylish, and the comic at the start was a nice touch.
The music was nice too. Did you just make a lot of tracks because you had time, or did you not make it? Like someone else said, probably should've opted out of the audio category if so. But it fits well with the frantic silliness of it all!
Driving the car felt pretty good. Immediately losing when hitting a car felt a bit unfair since they could drive up behind you without warning, so I mostly ended up trying to drive off the road to avoid them, but that's not good if you're trying to follow the traffic rules :p
I wasn't able to reach the end unfortunately, but if you can leave a response here and give us some hints that'd be great!
Overall a great concept with a lot of humour and a nice presentation. Just needs some polish and maybe some ramping up of how you learn the signals. :)
