Peak game design

draki 2026-04-21 09:11

The atmosphere is really intense, and the puzzle seems interesting, even though I got stuck pretty quickly with the x and y inputs. Good ambiance and good sound design !

jajalecapouet 2026-04-21 09:16

I'd like to test it, how to open the bin.7z ?

2026-04-21 09:23

The game works, and I can do some things, but only according to the instructions. The instructions are missing from the game itself.

jajalecapouet 2026-04-21 09:32

Nice atmosphere, it could be a good horror/puzzle game !

I really tried to figure out how this antenna works and complete the quest, but the light on the Antenna Controls isn't coming on. I set the values to match those on the radar and pressed “Set,” but it says there's no signal.

catanus 2026-04-21 09:39

There were high expectations and the atmosphere was well done, but the game itself is quite difficult to navigate. I got stuck after setting the coordinates, since it's not entirely clear without Cheatsheets which wires need to be connected.

Interesting game! Huge thanks for the hints in the description without them, I’d probably still be sitting there listening to the crows cawing :D

telkan 2026-04-21 09:47

@alexey-bobrovskiy yeah we're missing a lot of tutorialising in the game. In short : - you need to move the antenna to the displayed coordinates on the radar. (the first signal is -7,6) - If the antenna has found the signal, the green diode will light up. - Connect the Output of the Antenna to the input of the Signal Analyser to see what machine is need to parse the signal. - if for example the signal analyser says "NoiseReduction", you need to take the signal to the input of the Noise Reduction machine. The machine will provide a new, clean output. - That output can be analysed to see where it should go. - Repeat until the signal is completely parsed.

Nice game with a great and fun gameplay!

The game has a really nice atmosphere — it immediately pulls you in. I especially liked the idea of searching for different signals and mysteries in space, it feels very fitting for the theme.

That said, I got a bit confused about what to do after rotating the antenna 🙂 Some extra guidance there would really help the experience flow more smoothly.

carrerino 2026-04-21 20:30

Great job on this project! Everything is ok. Very very nice game!

i like the intense atmosphere

fassenberg 2026-04-24 14:16

The idea sounds interesting, but the execution isn’t very clear. I’d prefer to figure things out in-game rather than reading instructions, or at least have an in-game tutorial.

Also, the fast movement made me feel a bit unwell. If you decide to improve the game, it would be great to make it smoother and more comfortable to play.

telkan 2026-04-24 17:16

@fassenberg Yeah, I wholeheartedly agree, the next game will definitely have a better onboarding hahaha

saldaz 2026-04-25 18:43

The game's concept is good, but nothing is clear without a guide.

justinmullin 2026-04-28 00:10

Very very cool. It did take me quite a while of playing around with the pieces to figure out what the first steps were, but once I got a signal into the signal analyzer I felt I had enough direction to go on at each step. I do wish a bit that the signal analyzer output would have worked as a passthrough, so I could keep routing all signals through there after the noise reducer. Just a minor complaint.

The pacing of this game was quite slow, but I really loved the immersion of needing to interact with all the bits and pieces manually, and the mystery of decoding the signals was well executed. I loved especially the weird messages with radio signals and images that didn't really do anything except give an uneasy feeling. The lo-fi aesthetic fit perfectly.

In an expanded setting I could definitely imagine having a lot of fun with a more complicated setup and a longer game, though I think a lot of things would need to be streamlined slightly, as moving all about to swap wires around was a bit onerous in the end. Having the player character move extremely quickly was nice to keep the game from plodding too slowly, but was also a bit jarring.

All told, I was really impressed by this. It's very different in a good way, and exploring some game design space that I'm really into in general. Nice work, and thanks for the game!

excitemike 2026-05-02 00:14

Lovely! I did get tripped me up bad for a while because the minus sign was hard to see on the radar.

kerioth 2026-05-07 09:53

It's a very well thought out concept, with the instructions it wasn't that difficult, but without them it would have been a bunch of random actions for me
