The game is cool, if you add some kind of leveling, it will be fun.

azahara 2025-10-06 18:25

After a while, I found the two relics! Nice music and art. With some leveling or upgrading tools, it could be even better. Good job!!

Very fun game. I'd like to see some obstacles or enemies that make you move more carefully in the dark.

staticrose 2025-10-06 19:47

Reminded me of the old classic Motherlode. Loved playing it!

accardo 2025-10-06 19:48

Fun game, nice art as well. I think with more varieties of levels and items it can be better, there can also be items/hazards hide in seemingly normal containers to add an element of surprise.

Pretty relaxing game. I struggled with movement a bit when had no fuel left, player gets stuck on corners Good visuals!

I love the audio feedback, it's so satisfying!

Lovely art and groovy music! Impressive quality for a 48h submission! It was really fun to play, thanks!

bluedandelion 2025-10-07 06:17

Nice game! As people have already mentioned, adding some enemies/obstacles and maybe even upgrades would make the game even more engaging.

Nice! It's a bit short and simple - you can get almost all of the uranium you need in a single drilling session - but there's no real issues with it other than that, no bugs or anything. The graphics are solid, the movement feels smooth, and the sound design is great. Good job!

@staticrose I'll check that one out, thanks for playing

ehtd 2025-10-07 22:39

@xahon thanks for the feedback, should have made the collision smaller to help with that

The gameplay is simple but quite engaging: you need to find two relics and collect fuel to escape. It sounds easy, but in reality, you have to thoroughly explore every nook and cranny—your discoveries truly reward you with a sense of progress.

The game is simple, but at least it's straightforward.

This was really fun :D There is just something inherently fun about clearing out an area of blocks XD This was also really helped by the nice sound effects and pretty art. One small problem I ran into was that I needed to play with the size of my game window, or some of the UI would be off screen. This wasnt a big problem though and easily fixed from my side.

I was also thinking, perhaps it would have been fun to have some unbreakable blocks, such that exploring the mine became a bit more of a maze? That is just an idea though, feel free to ignore it. Really solid submission! Well done :D

Nice. Obviously it's short and there isn't that much to do but a solid start for a game where dig down for resources and come back up every now and then to deposit, refuel, maybe do upgrades or even some base building.

It was kinda weird and pointless that there were two different gauges that kinda conflicted with each other and served the same purpose. I mean fuel and cargo space. Never actually ran out of fuel but the cargo space kept doing the same thing that I couldn't drill anymore and had to return.

The music was banging but guess that was a ready made thing. But it's kinda confusing. The page you're linking to doesn't have that piece of music anywhere though. Is it just to link the artist? And it was from another Ludum Dare game? The sound effects were a bit harsh and would have needed more different sounds to be less barren and obviously a bit of variation in them.

Drilling those uranium bits and the relics could have used some feedback that it's doing something since they took longer than the normal ground. Not a big issue to not have them but would have made it clearer and maybe even more importantly, more satisfying to drill them. I'm a big proponent of making basic gameplay "goals" like gathering stuff and scoring look and feel so good and juicy so that they by themselves serve as an reward for doing it.

Anyways, good job! 👍

And I've been trying to do more drawing so I decided to draw the hunter (with quite a lot of creative liberties).

@antti-haavikko thanks for your feedback. For sure will apply it to my next game.

As for the music its CCO, but when I got the loops(few years ago) it was required to credit the musician. I enjoy his work so much I just keep crediting him whenever I use his loops. https://tallbeard.itch.io/music-loop-bundle if you are interested. Great loops and now licensed CC0.

Also thanks for making a drawing!

@wuppos thanks for playing. I noticed the issue with the window size as well. Only had that issue with firefox. Not sure what is going on with that, but I'll check.

Good idea about the unbreakable rocks. Maybe the drill can't break them but there are bombs you can buy to destroy them.

eugenik 2025-10-09 09:16

Pretty nice game :D.

dm1tr11 2025-10-10 15:04

This is a good idea, but I don't understand why we need a drill charge of more than 800 units if we can't fit more than 800 ore in our backpack, and more importantly, why do we need a drill charge at all? Additionally, if this is a procedural generation, I think it would be better to place the relics farther apart, as they were quite close together in my case. Otherwise, everything is fine. Good luck in the future!

Enjoyable game! The art style was amazing and everything felt polished. Gameplaywise it started to be feel pretty repetitive quickly but didn't matter much as the game was short. Anyway good job!

ehtd 2025-10-11 00:03

@dm1tr11 thanks for your feedback. Relics are randomly generated, you got really lucky :)

blazerker 2025-10-18 05:32

Easy to play, it was fun to run around and dig for fuel. It could do with some challenges or something that ups the game a bit.

skiddings 2025-10-19 20:00

Nice little game!

ophiene 2025-10-22 00:42

Amazing work! It's super interesting and has a vert unique way to paraphrase the theme, good job! And welcome to give our game a try! :)
