Fun concept. I love that you built a tower defense game that isn't a top-town grid. It's probably too easy - my strategy was just to spam a lot of turrets and then sit back and watch as all the ants and caterpillars just died without any real tension. Still, I was very entertained and I think this could be developed into a larger and very fun game.

I like the art style. It got relatively pretty easy fast, but it was still a good game that I enjoyed. I also like the viewport, it’s different from just a widescreen game.

Nice turret defence! Even if at some point you can just span turrets at one place and ants get annuhaleted there :) I like the idea a lot

Your tower defense map being a plant and not random top down grass was clever thinking, but game was too easy and need some upgrades.
Great first entry ! It was nice to play.
With some strong elements to make it a game + Having levels + Having a menu selector + Having a score system and an end-game
Some possible improvements : - The difficulty doesn't ramp up as fast as your cash: maybe to add difficulty you could have two circle :one for kill zone and one for an exclusion area where you can place another turret. - More instructions/tutorial, since you have multiple levels, one where you explained the concepts/weapons would be nice (even if the game isn't difficult per se) I was not sure how the weapons worked (the fire in any direction in the circle, do they block line of sight...) - Basic sound sfx on element placement adds a lot of depth.
I hope you participate in more ludum dare in the future!

As others have already mentioned, the levels are too easy (IMO). I would also disallow the user to place multiple towers on top of each other. for instance: I placed all my towers at the spawn point, using tower 2, and just spammed it until I ran out of money (impossible, I would have to use an autoclicker fo that).
