I liked the idea of summoning resources, the graphics and music are great!

tapehead 2024-04-16 18:01

@danyclockworker thanks!

pigeoncode 2024-04-16 18:25

A charming entry! I really liked the cozy feel of the graphics and the prayer mechanic with the summoning of resources was really innovative and I can see a lot of potential in it. It took me a minute or two to figure out what was going on at first and I think I had a bug that at the end of the day my values were all zeros, but once I figured it out I had a bunch of fun!

This game was probably one of my favourites of the jam so far. Of course it needs a win condition but boi was it fun to play around. (i got to 14 pops). Loved it.

marin-davys 2024-04-16 18:34

First off, the presentation is fantastic - the UI and art assets are super polished and the music fits the vibe well.

As to the gameplay. I think the core works well - the systems for gathering resources and building structures are super polished, but I didn't feel much of a sense of progression while playing the game. It took me a little while to realize what the 'summoning' theme had to do with things, and I think the idea of summoning resources with which to harvest is a fine idea, but I was left puzzled as to how the 'faith' meter grows - does it just grow automatically, or does it increase with certain factors?

Also, I thought that the jokes about the jam deadline were funny - I hope that you're able to finish those features in the future. Good work, and I look forward to seeing what you make next.

The art looks great, and the game is fun. I really liked the idea of balancing having your guys working and having them rest to generate more summoning power to get resources.

uniowl 2024-04-16 18:54

Cool visual style! Relaxing and simple gameplay is not bad. It took some time to understand how to properly earn points for summoning.

I have fun playing your game. Just realized that i could build new building too late, ha-ha. Aside from that geat graphics, music and controls. Nice entry!

caz-creates-games 2024-04-16 20:28

Really lovely graphics and the music was nice and jolly! The game feels well-built with a strong vision that makes it stand out from the crowd. I could absolutely see myself playing a future version of this game for a long while! All it needs is a stronger sense of progression and perhaps challenge <3 Really top-tier game though!

drgcandle 2024-04-17 03:37

Oh. My. Llama! How did you guys pull off this effect? It's mind-blowingly awesome! Did you seriously nail this within 72 hours??? If so, you all must have been mainlining coffee and punching the creative clock like there's no tomorrow!

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:05

@pigeoncode Thanks glad you had fun! It is not a bug we just had no more time to bind the calculated values to the UI. With a bit more time we would love to have a quick tutorial in the entry.

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:08

@ecenizo Thank you appreciate it! Love to read that. Yeah both of us was thinking about summoning a god of wining with enough faith points. Scraped it and left it as an endless builder

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:12

@marin-davys Thank you for your words and time! Every Unit produces Faith over time. If the Worker is in Idle mode he produces more faith. If the worker hast do do stuff (building, collecting, etc) he produces less faith in the same time and loses stamina/strenght wich you have to fill up at the end of the day. Yeah the deadline joke - it was enough time to update the sprite but sadly not to update the UI with the prober values haha

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:13

@colourarc Thank you very much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:14

@uniowl Thanks a lot for playing! Sadly there wasn't enough time to implement a proper tutorial into the game so sorry for the confusion at the beginning

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:15

@asfdfdfd Thanks for playing!

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:17

@caz-creates-games Thank you very much for your words really appreciate it! We had a lot of fun (and stress) to build this thing lets see what happens to the idea in the future

tapehead 2024-04-17 05:18

@drgcandle Hahaha Thanks a lot! Yeah lets say it that way... there where some coffee mugs consumed during the weekend.

drgcandle 2024-04-17 05:20

@tapehead The usual: brain's fried, hair's on the thin side, and coffee cups are piling up like a caffeine-fueled Jenga tower, but hey, happiness is in the code and I'm living it up!

tapehead 2024-04-17 06:43

@drgcandle hey, this is the way! Dont want any other way.

iwant-pizza 2024-04-17 19:25

I love strategy and this game is just right, I wish you would develop it, I would love to buy it on steam

memz 2024-04-18 01:15

Phenomenal game! Only things I can even think of changing would be more space for fish to be summoned, a "skip rest of day" button, and some way to auto-assign or max-assign workers for at least the fishing and woodcutting. Overall, an amazing game that I lost track of time for over an hour playing =)

fhgaha 2024-04-20 08:25

very nice

zablas 2024-04-20 12:24

Feels very cozy. One of the cozier games in this jam. Would love to see this expanded upon. Maybe add like a small little story, random events that happen on the island and something else? Eitherway, good job! :)

nonigirl 2024-04-20 12:40

Really enjoyed the graphics but could not manage to pass the first building...

azathothep 2024-04-20 13:09

Congratulations for this entry, it's a very polished game. Art and music are amazing, it really stands out! I liked the idea of not summonning entities but resources, it's quite clever and you could really extend this idea & give various powers to the gods. I didn't totally understood the purpose of the buildings, but it really has potential to become an interesting little management game. Well done!
