@Vegeo Thanks for reporting it. I forgot to set the page public.
I loved the ambiance of this game. I felt the puzzles were a little difficult to understand. I also liked the environment choice. It feel eerie.
@mrventures Did you solve the first puzzle?
@mrventures I added tips in the description.
Couldn't play it because I am on Mac. I wish you good luck.
bafflingly good visuals for a compo game! Didn't have time to figure out the puzzles, but it's definitely pretty hard
Mouse control were a bit fast. The models looked great, works great with the shader. Did see you used the shader for 2 other games you made before, maybe try out some new tricks. But good effort, I liked the atmosphere.
First thing that i learned - ESC quits the game xD I do find the mouse sensitivity a bit to high, thats why i tried to see if there was a menu to change that - bad choice x) The music loops a bit off, one can always hear the cut where the track ends ^^,
---
Amazing game, i really dug into the puzzle and got it all the way done without the hints \o/ Loved the "end screen" and am ready to die now ;D Great work, also really liked the art style!
WHat a beautiful art! Cannot play the downloads but I admire the visuals from screenshots
Okay I played for awhile and got so close but couldn't quite finish the very last word! Here are some notes I took through playing:
Visually looks great, love the art style Need sensitivity bar, my mouse sensitivity was 10,000 Need a longer loop for audio, but I like the vibes
I didn't realize I could input things into the switch until reading the "general gameplay" portion (I didn't realize I could actually click the symbols).
SPOILERS AHEAD:
It took me awhile to find EARTH, but I did find WATER and FIRE pretty quickly, Finding EARTH made AIR clear. You can sequence break to walk to any of the puzzles by walking around the outside, starting from the left console. I was able to get RAFT + WRITE (though I wish they were on theme with eachother similar to the elements!) FART made me laugh, that was great
Didn't love just guessing words at the end until I realized it was alphabetical on the wall Didn't accept WRATH :( that seems very on theme THAW also could have done something? I think when you have a game where you can make words, the more words that do stuff (even if its not critical to the story) the better. FART was good there. It was made in 48 hours though so that probably isn't really feasable.
There needs to be some better hinting at the words in the last puzzle besides being alphabetical, there's too many words that fit into the slots. I also would have had no idea about looking for words between +++ if I didn't read the hint
I got WAR but couldn't find the second one, even though I have RAT and RITE surrounding them. I tried every 3 letter word containing R but it didn't work, so I have no idea if its bugged or what but I have to stop there.
Really cool idea overall and loved the visual style, but could maybe use some playtesting.
@danga Thank you for the detailled feedback! I agree that the last puzzle is a bit lame and needs more work. It's not bugged, the 2nd word is 4 letters long. I planned to have more words that do something but I didn't had the time. So it's just two words to trigger the end of the game (plus the ones that have a sound effect).
Thank you again!
Great mood and atmosphere! People say mouse control were a bit fast but they were a bit slow for me. I did find the puzzle a little difficult to understand but having said that I'm not great at these kind of puzzle games.
@enver-arco I was using incorrectly Unity's new input system. I should be better now (at least it's fluidier).
Nice game. I have to admit I wouldn't have been able to finish it without the tips. And for the second end word I used ChatGPT
I love the general setup and the puzzles, but more ingame hints would have been appreciated. I probably would have never thought of linking the symbols to letters.
Please do not map Esc to quiting the game, i closed it at least 4 times  Jumping was sometimes wonky for me but I never got stuck.
The look and feel of the game was great.
All in all, it was an enjoyment to play!
Sadly my brain can't even begin to comprehend the puzzles, but i did rate it in graphics, mood and theme as these were awesome.
I love games like these! It took me a while, but everything was intuitive enough that I was able to solve every puzzle without hints and successfully doom the world! :D The art was fantastic, reminding me a bit of Sable, and I thought the initial puzzle was really clever. It felt really good to figure out what was going on. The last part was a bit tedious, but I still like the idea. Perhaps some sort of riddle may have made it easier to get to, but it didn't diminish my enjoyment of the game. And that one sound effect for that one word...I burst out laughing. Thank you so much for putting that in there.
Really liked this one except, as other people have said, for the last puzzle. If there was some small inscriptions on the side like there was for the right side puzzle, or maybe if there was already one or two words given right above or below the ++ ++ symbols to narrow down where to look. I think If it was split up into number of letter and alphabetically from there it also would have been a tad easier, but I think a little pictogram would definitely be the way to go.
Whatever shader this is that produces this art style I absolutely adore. Really reminds me of the game Manifold Garden but with more color. The audio was very nice. Sparse but in a good way that really adds to the mood.
Might have been a bit of an oversight, or maybe just an odd choice, but Jump seemed to work on Key Up rather than Key Down. Made it feel a bit unresponsive until I figured that out.
Overall a fantastic game that is really evocative of the theme! Definitely in my top 5 compos so far.
The game is seriously beautiful! But unfortunately the puzzles didn't work for me. In many ways.
One of the main reasons was that walking was so slow and jumping felt very off. It didn't even jump the majority of times I pressed space and when it did jump it didn't feel much like a jump.
So... the puzzles that were the main thing in the game.
I pretty quickly fixed the water so I could see the Rosetta stone. But some of the symbols where kind of similar and with movement being a chore, I'd really would have liked to see them while entering the code and see them clearly. There was no fun in walking a back and forth and figuring it out that way. I mean I could have sketched out those on a paper but...
I also didn't get at all get the first puzzle. My mind went:
!> Earth, Wind, Fire
After getting to have the translations in the ring. It did solve the part of moving about, but it kind of also ruined the mystic aura a lot.
When I finally made it to the back site, it took me a while to figure out that I was looking for the plus marked. It also, while using the same prop totally subverted the function of the disk-thing compared to what the game had taught before. It recognizing a lot of words and reacting to all of them, it kind of would have needed to not look like the other consoles to indicate that it was universal.
Me and my wife together could not figure out what one of the `+++___+++` words were though and as there also were a whole bunch of words that were not recognized I gave up. A lot of my progress had also been by looking up hints and solutions outside the game.
So I think, with better walking and jumping and with a bit more hinted solutions in the game it would have been a really neat entry.

@local-minimum Thank you for your detailled feedback and video!
You are correct about all your critics.
Most of the problems you mentioned were caused either because I didn't had the time to finish the game in the way I planned to (especially the last puzzle), or because the game was not playtested before the deadline.
@thetatautau Time is such a hard thing to deal with in the jam!
I did it! The second word was resisting me for a while, I took a break to eat a snack and then BAM, I saw it. Like the other comments, I though it was a three letters word.
Great visual, great idea, make me scratch notes on paper, I love this kind of game!
Two downsides: - background music does not loop properly (we can heard the sound of it repeating) - pressing space does not always do a jump
Also at the end I discovered I cheated the game x) I didn't find the fourth word on the entrance (because I though where will be a hint later). Then I got to the console on the left and I walk on the ledge to get to the back and right console. I clearly see now I didn't make the intended flow of progress. But at the end I've served my purpose, my mission was complete, thank you.
Very cool visuals! Along with the language thing it reminds me *Chants of Sennaar*
I finished the game pretty easily without the hints, so I don't think it's too hard, but I suppose that everyone will have a different opinion on the difficulty. ^^
The mechanics are nice and funny, but perhaps the last puzzle is too much "try-until-you-find-it"...
The fart took me by surprise. Well done.
Btw, I took the time to find every word of the list (No I have nothing else to do :unamused: ), but one is missing... So. Could you please tell me what is the f*****g word between "hat" and "it"? :rage:
A little something that annoyed me is the music, which is OK by itself, but there is a 'crack' at the end of each (short) loop...
But minor flaws aside, that's a very nice game. Good job!
Great looking art style. Entered game just by looking at the art style. Walking feels slow and there is not running. Jump is not working every time. I think the jump is happening on key release. I couldn't figure out what to do. May be an easy puzzle at start to get the player going.
@blaise-ebuth
> Could you please tell me what is the f*g word between “hat” and “it”?
Hater
> A little something that annoyed me is the music, which is OK by itself, but there is a ‘crack’ at the end of each (short) loop…
Yeah I know. I tried to make a seamless loop but as I suck at sound design and I was short on time I abandonned after a few tries (weirdly the method I used in the past didn't work).
@thetatautau Ah! So there is a little problem, because the letters of 'hater' trigger 'earth'.
This was a really fun and lil goofy game, I really liked it. Really nice work on the art, mostly the shaders, colors, and environment. The core puzzle was really fun, and I had to stop and think for a good while on some of them. I felt a little unguided at times, I think this project could have really benefited from a deeper narrative element, you could leverage riddles to help guide players more directly and/or mix in some ancient scripture type stuff for flavor. Overall really cool, especially for compo!
What a cool puzzle! I freaked out about Art. I love this kind of 3D art that looks 2D. The ambiance was also very good. It's a shame I get dizzy with first-person games. I invoked the "bad thing" but I got really dizzy!
Congratulations for the game!
Visual style is great! The flat colors make movement a bit disorienting, but the nature of the gameplay makes this into a plus, where in most games it might be a minus. Nice choice.
The sound also does a lot to add to the strong mood here. Ambience is simple but effective and feels cohesive with the rest of the experience (tho it did have a little "clip" sound when it loops). The few jump-scare sounds on certain words is also a nice touch, had me whirling around a few times.
Thank goodness you had the hints. I had solved the final puzzle but it had not triggered, and only looking up the hints saved me, I never would have re-entered already-done items otherwise.
Oh, I did experience some inconsistency with the game responding to my jump keypress. It would just ignore me about half the time. This was not a problem at all but thank goodness there was no platforming.
I enjoyed this cool and unique entry, well done!
