Really innovative and inspiring! It was even more amazing considering that was the first entry. It would be great to progressively introduce more mechanisms and blocks.
Was a very fun game, will wait for it to be improved upon. Was hard to undrestand how everything works at first, but started making profit on my second playthrough :>
really cute game, the sound is really nice on the ears, id suggest explaining a bit about the turn mechanic, as i thought it was going to be real time instead, otherwise i would place them differently but i guess it can serve for replayability! :)
Didn't get profitable, first try I spent all my money and then found out I had to buy at least one farmer to be able to play :D The thing I miss the most is a play-to-end button. It also feels pretty arbitrary what moves where, so I set up the fields kind of randomly. Nice Diablo-reference on the clouds, but it's a bit confusing that north apparently points down  Interesting game idea and open to lots more creative additions. Congratulations on your first entry and hopefully Godot 4 web supports get easier soon!
The PC version throws this error for me: bugged.JPG
However the Itch version works fine!
I like the idea a lot, I think it would be really nice to have better explanations of what's going on - for example the rain clouds go every direction EXCEPT east (which is what the tooltip says)
Haven't heard about Conway's Game of Life so was really confused in the beginning what to do. After a few retries i kind of got the hang of it but could never turn a profit  . It looks charming but yeah some tutorials or game goal descriptions would have gone a long way. But with some further development this could be really great. Seems like the perfect browser game to play at work while bored.
Very innovative and ambitious idea. While I can see you wanted to do more, I also see a lot of good things in here already. A fun little (but potentially deep) puzzle. As someone who usually doesn't get all his ideas implemented due to overscoping, don't let it discourage you - the core of what you have is what makes the game good, not the bells and whistles. Focus on that and get to the heart of what makes the idea stand on its own. (Plus you can add to the game later; there are jams that let you work on and submit your unfinished projects, for example.) To improve what you have, I would suggest focusing on more user experience (e.g. hovering over each element shows you how it works, or having shortcuts so there's less moving the mouse back and forth), and very importantly, teaching people through gradual progression. Those are the hardest part of making an innovative idea because there's no pre-existing familiarity, so it's really on you to get the idea across. I hope this is constructive feedback. Ultimately, even if you don't feel like it, you did a good job with this game :)
More instructions/strategy advice would have been helpful, very neat and cute idea though. :)
Don't fully get this game, but the music and the game flow feels pretty fit
Congratulations on your first LD entry. Love the idea. Game reminds me of Luck be a Landlord.
interesting premise, i wish i could build some larger systems with the tools on hand! additionally, i was never able to figure out how to do some of the options like "shear sheep" or have the fox eat the sheep.
Howdy there, fellow Godot dev!
I think you have the seed (heh heh) of a really interesting project here! That said, the game feels a bit too abstract right now. It's not clear at all how the different objects interact or function, and I think some of the descriptions are wonky (the rain clouds are supposed to travel east but I don't think I ever saw them move in any direction except up/north). Also wondering why I'd want to buy and place foxes when they're supposed to eat sheep (which are *expensive!*)
- My clouds didn't seem to move to the east, they went north and west. - I felt the descriptions and the goal wasn't very clear and obvious.
It's a bit hard to get what to do at first but it was very interesting! also yeah the clouds are going west not east
Those farmers are really the worst at their job, they don't even know how to water their crops!
Hah, very good experiment on that game. I think it mostly need more instructions and clearer goals and mechanics, but it still works. I don't get the cloud movement at all.
