dont understand fully how you went with the theme at all, maybe you skipped it. Cat is cool i like the switching mechanic altho kinda overdone a little bit. I do appriciate the amount of levels it was fun overall good job

@junagames Thank you for the criticism, being the second game I've ever made! and I tried to follow the theme with the limited space being the space of the 'box' (being the level) from the Schrodinger's cat experiment.
I like the concept, but the puzzle difficulty is just not there I do think something like this could become something really great but at the moment you just switch dimensions without thinking about the limit of switching
I do like the art and music though! :D
Nice job! I think the puzzels could be a bit more difficult, maybe with some more mechanics introduced later on. But good game with nice graphics and music, and an interesting concept.
I won't rate the game because it would not be fair. I don't know about other people but for me I refuse to install any extra piece of software to play LD games. I have enough of that in games outside.
@balimaarthebassfish I'm sorry for the inconvenience I didn't realise that it wasn't working for so long, I have removed it as of now, and thanks for the criticism.
Hey, a fellow famous-physics-mental-experiment-based-game-maker (I made on based on Maxwell's demon for this jam)! I liked the amount of levels you made. Perhaps more complex, labyrinth-like levels would help increasing the difficulty.
As has already been said here, there is no puzzle to solve, just turn the walls off and on and go. Still, it has music and sound effects. The graphics are simple but functional. Even though the fun was lacking due to the lack of difficulty or progression, I played and passed all the levels. Thank you for submitting your game and finishing it on time. What you learned in this jam you will improve on the next one and we will meet again.
I played till the end as well, not bad for a second game. I am surprised by the choice of the Schrödinger’s Cat lol. This game was pleasant, simple but pleasant. I had some fun, however I agree that I'd like a ramping up in difficulty, maybe tougher puzzles, enemies, something to feel like you're progressing and the game getting harder. The other small thing I didn't care for was the menu navigation having to switch between mouse and keyboard, it didn't feel natural using only the keyboard for the main menu then using only the mouse for level select.
Nice use of the theme ! I saw from your other comment that you wanted to use it as "limited space" of the box, but I think it fits better as "limited SPACE" as in SPACEbar presses, you might've done that accidentally but it works ! Double use of the theme you got there haha
The graphics were nice to look at, but as a pixelartist, pleaaaase try to keep you pixel size consistent, the pixels that made up the walls and the rest were twice bigger than those of the cat so it looked a bit off to me (might just be me though). I like your pixelart though, while the walk of the alive cat was rather jonky, I really liked the dead cat's design for some reason.
Good job on the UI, it was simple and intuitive ! I wish you could control the cat with the arrow keys as well, it makes no sense to me to be able to move through the menus with the arrow keys but not being able to move the cat with them.
I think the dimension switch animation could've been made faster, here it's like a little less than one second, which kinda breaks the flow of your walking and you don't really know where you end up.
My main critique is the level design. I think the puzzles were waaaaay too easy, you just... walk till you see a wall, switch, walk again, switch... There's nothing that makes you need to think upfront in which order you have to go through the switches (like keys that open doors, one way passages, traps to disable with one form of the cat etc...), and you often end up with 2 switches left, which is a shame because if makes the levels way too easy. I suggest you test the levels more and try to make a precise path that needs to be taken, and make it harder to figure out which is the way to go, with putting decoy paths and all. The level that is the most fun to play in my opinion is level 2 (if I remember correctly) in which you have to take the bottom path, you actually have to think about your path before you take it. This would've made the game much more interesting to play in my opinion.
Pretty nice for a second game, good job on the UI and presentation, most games don't have nice UIs like that !
Your game really is an interesting idea, being inspired by Schrödinger's Cat. I think you could further elaborate on the concept in the gameplay to make it even more engaging. Maybe incorporating a scoring feature for using fewer switches could add an extra layer of challenge? I think your game has the potential to be even more enjoyable with some fine-tuning. Keep working on the idea and keep up the good work!
I love the idea! Really interesting way to use Schrödinger's Cat as a game mechanic. Actually very impressive if you haven't made that many games before and did it all alone. My main feedback is that levels could be much harder and much more puzzle-like (having possibly only one solution), since I usually beat them with 2 switches remaining. But to be honest, it's already impressive to have levels included in a game jame game and the ones you had weren't bad either ((I just wanted to play some more)) Graphics are fun too! Oh and its was actually quite smart to put some of the level behind the image
Making a game in such a short time can be difficult. I think what you achieved is however pretty great. Keep up the good work ^^
