Didn't know that I had to make all the assets myself. Skybox and a couple of sound effects are from opengameart / freesounds. Everything else is hand made.

Cool concept and fun game, reminds me of organizing things in Bethesda games (but here was way better done), choosing the right books and managing the time left to organize and choose where to put them makes really fun. Haven't found any bugs, Congrats!
@spajus I believe that disqualifies you from the COMPO category, but not from the JAM category. Anyway this was a really cool concept and the best take on the theme I've seen so far, also the execution/presentation is spot on. Fantastic!
Great idea! The graphics are minimalistic, but the cosmic background sets the atmosphere. It would be great if there was an unlimited time mode here so that I could put all the books in the closet, without exceptions. Great game!
interesting concept
Looks really nice and the music's really chill. Whole game feels really chill. Incredibly relaxing just stacking books. I feel like the time limit should have added pressure but it didn't I just had fun seeing how I could fit the books in.
Nice little entry. Enjoyed it and the physics actually felt quite nice an intuitive. Good entry overall.
Fun Game! Spent hours messing around with items in Skyrim and this reminded me of it. Would have been great if rotate was around the z axis so i could more easily slot in the books.
I quite dig the shelf organizing proposal and how relaxing it can be.
Altho, the first person perspective was the culprit of this project for me. Because of the chosen perspective a lot of inputs were necessary to get the books orientation just right and also, the perspective distortion did not played quite well and was a bit hard to know if the book was where I needed it to be.
Maybe a different perspective would have me it more enjoyable overall, I recalled Unpacking, but definitely not the same, but might be worth having a look as reference for improvements on UX.
Nice concept! I really like the idea of putting books on the shelf, it is relaxing. I got a bit lost about rotation. Sometimes I was expecting to rotate in another axis to fit the book on the shelf. Nice job after all!
Simple concept but well executed. I feel that the game in its current form has a more hectic feel to it compared to what some others have said. If you want to try to scratch the "satisfying" itch, perhaps rotate the books in 90 degree increments so they fit better on the shelf, remove the timer and score somehow based on the book organisation (small books on top of bigger books, etc)
This was a fun quirky little game! I liked the concept and your play on limited space. I found rotation a little tricky though, but I got the hang of it eventually. Maybe a button or two that snap in increments (45, 90, 135, etc.)? I think the design on the shelf itself was clever, and I found myself putting certain types of books in certain spots, although small books were always the ones I were looking for. The music was super relaxing and I had a fun time playing it - great work!
cool game, keep up the good work
Managed to get over 1000!

Anyway, awesome game! This was surprisingly addicting, and it was very fun to discover new strategies and slowly improve my score over various attempts! The physics & rotation felt weird at first, but once I got used the them it was pretty cool! The game also felt very polished. I'm not sure whether the size of the shelf you put the book in affects the score or not, but I found myself always aiming for the biggest holes and pretty much ignoring the small ones. Sometimes books would teleport behind the bookshelf, but otherwise, excellent entry!
Interesting game! The movement is really bouncy, the rotation a bit slow, and the books re-rotate really easily when you touch the shelf, making this a very difficult game to control. On that note it was pretty interesting, and very challenging. Good luck getting 20 ratings!
