Quite a fun game! But i don't get the idea with coins required to advance to the next level, at some point it made me stuck with no money to advance (because i bought the next level).
Also, maybe, slots with random (as i understand) potions are not such useful, i am always prefer going for determined ones to strike tiles i see.
But, still for the jam is solid and interesting experience 💪
I like the spin on color matching puzzle games, and I like the idea of choosing to spend money on upgrades vs a new level. However, the camera and climbing are a little cumbersome and I found myself struggling against the physics by level 3.

I had a great time with this! Once I figured out the combo mechanic, it became even more fun as I was thinking strategically about which ones to hit in which order! Really well done!

I got stuck on the geometry a few times and one time i fell through the floor. Interesting idea of needing to move between colors, adds an extra layer of planning. With more polish i think this could be a really fun game.
The music is way too loud and this game could use an audio slider to adjust that. The concept is great though, and it would be nice to see it fleshed out just a little bit more. Ran out of money a few times, but I'm used to that. :D Visuals are basic, but they communicate everything well to the player. Good job!
Great concept - especially with the wizard and potion aspects, I thought those were especially fun. Some of the platforming controls felt a little tricky. I wanted the character to be more responsive, especially in that third level where platforming feels very important.
The combo system really makes the gameplay feel more dynamic. I definitely spent a decent amount of time trying to figure out how to optimize my block blasting.
The money system was also an interesting way to approach the game flow.
At the beginning of the level, before the first jump, the character freezes in a almost-T-pose and cannot aim correctly. This takes a few precious seconds. And in general there are some pointing problems with the camera. But it was fun to spend some time listening to such music (too loud).
on web the 2nd level, the aim is broken :/ ??.. yeah i tried it like 5 times.. maybe its this browser? vivaldi one time when jumping up to a platform on 2nd level dude hopped waay up into the sky there could be an indicator like a ui thing that shows what color iam currently holding, it like is simple enough it doesnt need it, but a full polished game would have it
.. constructive feedbacks.. i rated u decent to high the game is really cute and fun

I think the idea here is really good, combining the puzzle-like and platforming aspects, and especially adding money as an incentive to get additional bonuses. Handling the wizard is a bit awkward, but understandable considering how many mechanics you had to add here. I have to mention, it happened to me twice that I bought another potion slot or unlocked a new level and accidentally locked myself out of continuing the game, lol. Definitely my fault but it's probably also a good idea not to let the player do that. I also had the issue where I couldn't aim past a certain point in level 2 but switching out of full screen fixed it for me. Despite the nitpicks I had a good time playing this. Nice work!

@joymagine Hi, thanks for your reply, the color indicator is at the top-left corner, showing the potion you're holding right now.
The UI might be a little small on high res screen (2K), as I was working on a 1920*1080 notebook screen and all UI size are pixel-based.
And I've never encountered aim problems here with firefox/edge, could you tell me the browser and OS you're using?

@feor Thanks for your feedback. I've tried several runs on firefox again and not seen the bugs you mentioned, now i'm really doubting that if my browser is running a different version? I'm gonna get another pc to test later.
btw, I really like your "Neptune's Wake", it's one of the most fun games I've played in this jam so far.

@tmpxyz Huh, I just tried it again on firefox and had no issue at all. My first playthrough was on Vivaldi so maybe the issue is with Chromium-based browsers? Or maybe it doesn't happen all the time, I'm not sure. And thank you, I really appreciate that. I've also enjoyed this game a lot, I think the core idea is great. By the way I had a thought, what if the random bucket was a "joker" instead that would take the color of the first tile it hits? You could then make it harder to reach to reinforce the "platforming" aspects. Well, just a thought if you feel like taking this further.

Nice game, but the vision is not very comfortable for me
It took a bit to get used to the movement. Our wizard hero seems a bit sluggish and the camera, on the other hand, seemed too fast. But I got used to those quirks and everything played well afterward
It's a nice little puzzle, and it was satisfying to pull off big combos. Unlocking additional potion slots is nice and allows for some advanced planning. Visuals are simple but get the job done and the music is fitting.
It's a bit confusing that you win the game by purchasing an unlock for the next level. That last purchase should be just called something different - like "go on vacation" :grinning:
Nice jamming!
