Great work! A little tough to tell where to go, but I thought that it was hilarious to run around punching slime monsters, and your dialogue system is impressive!

Very impressive submission with it being a custom game engine and all! Dialogue was amusing and I love how self aware it seemed - "Garry could be anywhere due to his random AI" made me chuckle^^ I played the web version and it ran perfectly fine on my machine albeit the grass seemed to have visual artifacts in the top right corner. Other than that, great game and keep up the good work!

Great work, using a custom game engine is a big plus (I never had enough courage to do that for Ludum Dare - but never say never, right).

I played through whole thing, did manage to find Garry (yeah, he really is a pain to find). Finished quest. Game didn't

Few notes: - Shadow map is wrongly handled outside of 0.0 - 1.0 projection coordinates, it looks weird at times at the edge of camera view - Distance between locations is quite long (and there are no enemies or such) - Dialogs are good, but sometimes it wasn't obvious right away that you can select a response

Keep up the good work!

It's just a huge amount of work! I admire the author! Too bad it's not enough to make it fun to play :(

But I really hope that the work of the developer will not be in vain. This is the most luxurious experience. A very complex work has been done, but still there is a lack of content for this world.

P.S. The web version works great :)

Web game actually wasn't too bad for me, nice job! :D

Good job, submitting a game in your own engine. The huge world is an accomplishment in itself, but it does turn your game into a walking simulator. I laughed when I reached the end of the world and was just able to keep going over the void.

Honestly kinda hilarious ! I spent way too much time punching them slimes

That's really impressive, given the short time. I liked it a lot, surely there are a couple of obvious polish areas that might come to mind, but hey, it's only 2 - 3 days to make this so ... kudos The web version, although a tiny bit laggy, was still perfectly playable. Great to see some entries using home grown engines like this. Very solid entry.

I followed the signs and walked to the castle and was told that Gary was scripted to walk aimlessly around the map. Then I walked all the way to the sage who told me to go back to the castle. Then I ran all over looking for Gary but I could not find him.

Then I realized, as I wandered aimlessly around the map, that perhaps I was Gary all along.

The dialogs and the fourth wall broken were very funny, the walk were too long (but I guess it's what you wanted ahah) but anyway congrats on doing everything by yourself I had a great moment !!

It was hard to find Garry without a map or rotating camera, but I managed it! And then to defeat every NPC in combat, haha... The dialog, sign and grave marker text was all pretty cheeky. Great job pulling this off in so little time, especially using a custom engine.

Something very straight... Unusual, huh? In general, well done, but I did not understand one thing: why such a large map if 95% of the space in it is simply not needed???

That was neat little exploration game! I quite enjoyed it. It's not a real RPG, of course, but it's a fun quest. The area feels a little empty with no creatures around, but it was cool to find and discover new locations. I also liked the dialogue and humor quite a bit. And props for letting me kill the NPCs too!

I did find a couple of issues with the game:

1) Shadows appear to flicker in the distance and on certain objects like signs.

2) The character interacts really strangely with slopes.

This gives me huge Runescape vibes haha.

Its awesome that you have created this in your own engine. That's really cool. nice job! :D

I had fun running around and yes the dialogue system is top notch! Well done :)

I actually really enjoyed exploring the world. It felt decently vast and I'm pretty sure I managed to explore absolutely everywhere without finding Garry. The music and aesthetic worked well together and I like the little jokes sprinkled around the world that was a nice touch.
