nice game, i like the art

samantha-keane 2023-05-02 16:01

Fun game, it was surprisingly hard to use both hands at once.

tomtomgome 2023-05-02 16:11

Haha so cool, we also wanted a paper please inspired game but to be honest I think your implementation is much more fun gameplaywise. Everything fits very well together. Amazing job.

Yes, it was a bit confusiong and hard to get the grasp of the game, maybe if there would be a tutorial phase? I know it is a gamejam, don't get me wrong!:) Nice art, good vibes also. It would be nice if you would keep working on this in the future!

jeffrey-hwang 2023-05-02 16:23

I had to play it a couple tries to understand both hands is required, and you have to flip the letters to stamp them. It gave me the Paper Please vibe, and I loved the setup. It was nice that even if you are slow, the letters were piled up and you don't miss any of them. Wish the time limit was not there, so I could take my time with it, but I understand you also need to make it challenging. Great job!

Excellent qwop-like! I loved spotting all the references on the packages. Good stuff :lollipop:

Great game; the control scheme was a little hard to understand at first, although it was very fun and unique once I got the hang of it. It was sometimes difficult to know why some packages were losing me money, aside from the ones specifically marked using the sticky notes. I'm assuming some of them were meant to be fake?

Overall, the game was great, with good art and great use of audio, and a good take on the theme!

It is fun and stressful at the same time. Maybe we need 3 more days for paying our debt. A day-intro-scene with notes would make it better because i can't read and play with two hands at the same time. But all of these may be intentional to make this game harder.

Was hard to figure out the mechanics but I had a lot of fun once i figured it out. Stressed me out a bit because of the short amount of time vs the amount of packages. But really cool game, congratz!

It was a bit hard to "grasp" the mechanics at first. But seems like cool concept overall.

I survived!!

It took a couple of tries to get going, but I think I mostly figured it out. Aside from the birthday present, I couldn't tell the difference between packages I was supposed to trash vs. packages I was supposed to put in the boss box, so I ended up putting anything questionable in the boss box.

The address lines were very fun, and I think you have a cool concept! I think when sorting it could be nice to have either immediate feedback if something was sorted incorrectly or an end-of-day line item explaining why the daily wage was discounted. Nice job!

WOW, I came looking for one more game but then I found gold. I played it three times. The first time, I got used to the mechanics, the second time, I completed the objective, and the third time was just to read the letters. It was a little hard to understand the controls at first. I really liked that we could control both hands separately, and the artwork was really good. I would like to see a longer version of the game, like Paper Please.

I really enjoyed the art and the idea behind the game (I LOVE stamps)! It was great to have messages on the back of the card! However, I think it would be better if you could flip the cards with your right hand as well, as I was initially confused about the controls (or perhaps it would be helpful to include the information that you need to manage everything with both hands). I also missed having some music to bring the environment to life. But overall, congratulations on the game, amazing job! (⌒▽⌒)♡

I really like the art style of this game, the cartoonish and refreshing style with relaxing colors contrasts with the pressure of the mafia, making the game more dramatic! It's a really cool game!

jkyd 2023-05-16 04:05

This was really fun! I really liked the idea of incorporating two hands into the mix -- it definitely added to the chaos of processing packages. I think the mechanic also paired really well with only having to match the colours for stamps and deciding where to sort the mail, as it's very satisfying to fly through processing packages.

Great job overall! We also did a papers-please-like game so it’s really cool to see other team’s take on the genre and some pretty creative solutions to the problems we were running into :)
