Nice idea, good fit for the theme. Good game even though it took me longer than i want to admit that they the letters grew at different times.

Very creative idea! It also fits perfectly to the theme. I struggled to put words together that I planned out because the day/night mechanism was in the way, but I somehow always found words in the seeds I planted! This is what was the most fun for me (finding the words) rather than planing out.

The screen gets a little dark at night. Apart from that I loved it! Good work!

nice puzzle game, i'm terrible at word but this was fun !

mastyff 2023-01-18 00:20

Very fun! I had a lot of trouble making words but I can't make words good irl either haha

 整体不错无论是想法还是图形,尤其是音乐!加油好兄弟,下次见!

但我这个东北英语是玩不过两个词了。

wendy222 2023-01-23 18:47

@mastyff me either, most of the words I made are 3 letters long

wendy222 2023-01-23 18:50

@pe7e so the letter with a symmetrical shape grows during the day- blue card, the others grow up during the dusk - yellow card. If this makes more sense. And thank you for playing!

wendy222 2023-01-23 18:52

@thejan14 I agree with that, the night is dark, we used to plan to add some lights, but it didn't turn out a good visual. But we will figure it out in the future. I am glad that you have fun with it! Thank you for playing!

wendy222 2023-01-23 18:52

@grotfang Thank you for playing :)

Man, I am really bad at these word games :joy: But had fun with this game anyways. I feel like there could be some more vocals, for instance I had a lot of S and T.

ava-skoog 2023-01-23 22:58

Fun idea! I might have just been bad at the game, but I didn't feel like I had that much control. Music was great, even if you didn't make it; good choice. Graphics are nice; I like the pixelly crunchiness to them 😍 There seemed to be no way to undo after beginning to spell a word which meant sometimes I just had to sit around waiting for a useful letter to pop up instead of starting over on a different word? ☹️ I liked it, but could use some work.

Great graphics, sound, and concept! I think the biggest frustration for me was the controls. Using the mouse for everything was clunky and as far as I could tell, you couldn't delete a letter once you clicked it unless you submitted the word. It would've been nice to allow keyboard input.

Otherwise, I love the concept of a word game where you have to strategize the night/day letter generation. Well done!

don-fouts 2023-01-26 02:56

This was a really cool take on the theme and a well designed word game. Great work!

betovf 2023-01-26 09:43

Very original entry! Kinda hard to play at first. Good job!

veelivar 2023-01-26 09:47

Loved the concept, and the pre-planning the day-night cycle created.

My biggest trouble with the pacing of it. I felt like I was spending way more time just waiting for things to grow than I was making words. I may need to be more liberal with the shovel, but I feel a combo of that, plus a faster growth so I can cycle through plants more might help best with that?

Would like the option to undo what letters I've already harvested, or perhaps have a very small inventory I can swap some in and out of.

sphinx 2023-01-28 21:31

@veelivar Yeah we failed to balance the pace of that. The plants also die overtime and we were having trouble managing the randomness. Making it faster and simpler might be the way. The inventory is a good idea! Thx for playing.

sphinx 2023-01-28 21:35

@ava-skoog You can submit the half done word to start over. That was the idea to be locked on to the word you are spelling unless you start over. I can see that is kind of frustrating. A more flexible and swifter input might be the cure. Thanks for your feedback.
