Graphics and audio are very good and have a distinct mood. The actual gameplay was a bit tricky, Once veins were on-top of other transferring organs I couldn't get them separated again which made the game impossible to win.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD52 → Live Organ Harvest!

@malcore Thanks for playing! Veins will replace already placed ones, but leave the ones in other layers intact, so a blood vein will never replace an air pipe for example :-)
P.S. Also you can click on the bin under the donor area to get a new field (but leave the 'patient' area).
Lovely grim puzzle game! The three layers of connect-the dots is an innovative idea, tho it took a while for me to figure out which one was which. I tried to make the 'perfect' body with no leftover bits in the recipient. (that took quite a few donors, but thiz iz my art!)
It would have been nice to see some hints one what was currently already 'connected' and enriched. The left side row of the recipient was also a bit hard to see.
Regardless, fun and grim, well done - two small intestines up!
Nice spin on the harvest idea. Managed to complete it because it was entertaining enough to keep playing. Little buggy when picking up a new piece sometimes. Maybe the in game objectives could complete when you've achieved that part of the connection? Otherwise really fun game!
Funny concept and cool adaptation of the theme!! It took me a while to get the hang of the controls, but found it to be quite rewarding and satisfying -- although like @kir-pow I agree it would be cool to get some more feedback on objectives. Really cool game overall!
The music was a absolute banger! The way the organise and pines contracted felt very fluid it was really nice animation. The vibe I got was really positive and enjoyed my time with it.
I did have some issues loading it but that might just be due to my PC but perhaps it was suboptimal optimisation (it is a game jam after all)
Love the use of the theme and the music gives an appropriately spooky vibe. The controls/gameplay took me a bit to get the hang of though - mainly got hung up on the fact that you couldn't remove bits from the right side. As I was learning the game it felt easier to restart the whole game for a clean start, which is a little bit weird. Did appreciate the tooltips though, that was helpful to understand the goal. Also the highlight during placement made it a little bit difficult to figure out which way the piece was facing. Being able to cycle donors endlessly also made it feel a little simple to find the pieces you needed - still pretty fun once I got the hang of it though. Finished in 213s with 10 donors. Would be cool to see this with some progressively more complex tasks to do. Nice work!
Strange gameplay for an unusual project. The main idea is clever - satisfying. It fits with the theme, but I did not expect something like that :) The control works well and the background music track is pleasant. Addictive puzzle-game. Thank you for your feedback. I wish the best ++
Cool concept and well delivered! Great job :)
Hey Remco, thanks for your long and thorough feedback on my game, very much appreciate it; a lot of good points! Again, here's the link to my video playthrough of your game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj_pzh6rT7I
It was a joy playing your game. The puzzle game idea itself is really cool and that it's not just "connect these three components" but instead you have to think about the overlapping parts and finding the right pieces to do that - is pretty clever indeed. In the end I was able to beat it pretty easily but I myself wouldn't really know how to make sure that it has a fitting difficulty because of the randomly generated donators.
Maybe if there were even more components to connect it would automatically get more complex? Like adding the nervous system which also needs to connect to the brain. I learned from another game jam that making a 3 to a 4 cranks up the gameplay a LOT.
Good job!
It's a really interesting take on the theme. I liked the challenge and thought it was well thought through. The 3d highlight was a bit off at times and made me click and place the wrong tile. A bit more clarity would go a long way I think. Awesome though, kudos
