It was pretty surreal seeing these awesome 4K ultra HD graphics and animations ...and then hearing 8 bit arcadey music lol
Gameplay was simple, but the game was put together well. Good job!
also, I've never heard of Quadspinner Gaia before. Looks like a really powerful tool and I'll definitely be looking into it!
Fun! I really like how the music cue can be used to tell when enemies are spawning. I wish the progression was a little faster at the start, but I do like the tradeoff of spending cash to stay alive but also progress. Good job!

Nice little game, the amount required to get upgrades may be a little high, it takes too much time getting upgrades since it's 10 coins per 10 seconds.
Wish there were more zombie spawns to make it more challenging. I also kept getting attacked after the zombie died. Also their corpse continued to rotate after me, after getting punched. Very ambitious!
Beautiful ! The graphic are so awesome but not for my computer.

Good game, but was the enemy's hit range too long?
Beautiful graphics. Good sound effects as well - really nice crunchy walk sound.

Possibly the greatest game ever created

Great atmosphere
@zankanotachi Thanks for the feedback! I agree that this was a bit resource-intensive, as I am not very good at optimization yet, and Unreal Engine is a bit heavyweight, but you could try the "Low" option in the Graphics settings of the Options menu.
Thanks everybody else for the amazing feedback!

That was a really interesting game! I'm a sucker for upgrade systems so I got stuck into this for a bit. Definitely felt the game was more fun when I tripled the zombies. Great job with this!

A very fancy looking game for a gamejam. Fun to play, but a bit hard on the old laptop. Nice job though!

Fun game! The graphics are awesome, but should be more optimized. I also like the economy in this game, it is quite good. The only thing is that it seems to me that the only way to increase the difficulty is to buy more zombies. While that makes sense and is a cool idea, I think that more and more zombies should spawn anyway, both to increase gold generation artificially, and to force the player to spend gold wisely\ not get overpowered before progressing. If you polish the game, economy, and add some weight to the hits as well, this could be a very fun brawler on steam:)
Strange and funny game! Hearing the 8-bit music is like I'm playing some Mario game without Mario but with fun mechanics! Sometimes the game lags but not critical. Wondeful works!
problem with optimization, does not work
Looks like Skyrim. :smile_cat:
@gordienkogames what do you mean?
lags

Yeah this game isn't well optimized, since I only had 3 days, but you could try the "Low" or "Medium" graphics setting in the options menu.
I think the game has a solid foundation, but the difficulty could be scaled up a bit. Being able to purchase upgrades, including restoring health, is good. Maybe set it to where you can only purchase upgrades after a set number of waves though? This would give the player some more agency to play smarter and which upgrades to take since it can only happen at set times.
Unfortunately the un-optimization of the graphics, as you've mentioned, hit hard. Even on Low graphic settings. Optimization is always tricky, especially for jam games that are going for higher end graphics.
(also according to your profile, we're in the same state, what's up)
Interesting approach, I like the shopping upgrade thing. I think thematically it's a bit weird as seeing grass/flowers and mountains combined with military and robots, but I guess whetever works ).
Game has solid foundation. This feels like you had a lot more systems planned out but could not finish in the time constraints of the jam. I hope you continue working on this, as this has the potential to become something fun and great.
Nice 3D graphics for a Game Jam, the music is nice but a bit out of place. It doesn't match the high end graphic i would say.
The mecanic of power-up is great. The turorial in the menu is cool to have.
IMHO It was a bit too easy/slow, maybe having directly more ennemies spawning each 10sec would be great.

There are lots of thing to improve in the game, the graphics gave me lag and I was unconfortable playing it but I appreciate that you try to create something playable with the shop mechanics. I feel that the music was out of the genre of the videogame you wanted to create but it is good music overall. The no border collider felt unfair for me too but that is maybe what you wanted to do with it.

This game has potential, but the camera bug after killing an ennemy, and it's not really fun for now

Okay, so, this game clearly has some heart put into it, but it's kinda rough.
I think the other comments cover most of the issues, but I'll note some key issues I found while playing: - Camera collision is annoying. This should be easy to fix if you're using the typical camera setup. - The default character and mixamo models are kind of garish and don't fit the game at all. I guarantee, I *promise*, anything you could make yourself would be better than these... things... - Character animations blending together made combat feel very bad. The animation transitions need to be a lot tighter, or even removed entirely, and there should be no ambiguity between blocking and attacking. Also it was very unclear where the attack hitbox actually was. - The shop is a bit of a grind, but once you get your coin multiplier up, you kind of blast through the levels. - The performance requirements are too heavy. I have a high-end system and was barely able to run it. Also, I think you published the debug build?
I liked the music, and the terrains were nice.
Again, clearly has some heart in it. I'll be looking forward to your next game.
