I would like the enemies to have healthbars, so you can predict the shots you need. It is a great game and the theme is well executed. I really like the mood and the graphics are great.

I like the art! The aliens are super cool. They're very hard to kill, though, and I wish the difficulty escalated a bit more slowly so it feels easier to get into a flow in the beginning.
This one is definitely one of the hardest entries I've played so far, but I enjoyed the game. Simple, but enjoyable. I do agree it gets really difficult real quick. Maybe introducing the different types of aliens one at a time so you can get used to their movement patterns would be good, as it's hard to predict how different aliens will move before they reach the earth!
Simple game but good mechanics! The sounds are a bit overwhelming, though, and I'd have like more feedback on hitting the ennemies :(
The art is great and I love the arcade-y feel of it! Hits the theme well in my opinion!
Nice art, I liked the aliens, was surprised by the extra planets but it feels like the aliens only attack Earth? Either way it's nicely done, it was a little weird that the fast shot had no cooldown unless you shot another weapon. Well done for the jam!
Nice game. The gameplay is fun and well executed. The music goes well with the game. Maybe tweak spawn rate / weapon damage to be able to survive a bit more than 100s, or add upgrades idk.

Simple game with cool mechanics :) I like how the music and atmosphere adapts to the game getting more intense. I think the game has potential with more upgrades, skills weapons etc
Pretty cool game, very alien sided but fits the theme.
Health bars, like someone else suggested would be a great addition to the game. Really hard to judge just how much more you need to put into something before being able to focus on another. Nice mix of weapons to use as well.
Good graphics. Good audio. The only problem I had was that it takes an immense amount of shooting to kill an enemy and the spawn rate is too high in my opinion. Perhaps give the player a little bit more time to figure out the game. Just needs a bit of tweaking. Overall an enjoyable game. Keep it up.
I dont see the point in using the fast-shooting as it really doesnt do anything to the enemies. The standard or heavy shot however its called is way better. It also takes some skill to lead your shots which makes for more fun than just aiming in a general direction. The mines are a good idea but not great in the execution as they trigger the reload too and dont even kill enemies - so you just waste possible shots. That said i also feel like the reload could be faster.
You went for a moody atmosphere and everything was quite dark (and also a bit small) so it could be hard to hit stuff.
Even though it could imo be a tiny bit more chill - i really like the music and how it ramps up over time
There are also some balance issues with the spawning. As it is very likely heavily randomized there are times when you just dont have any chance and die. You can hit all shots but there are just to many enemies spawned in at a short time and its over. I know its part of the theme to be inevitable but its just to random - sometimes it happens after just 50 seconds sometimes after 100. My record is 140ish but i didnt feel the need to improve because the game could basically end my run once it wishes (if i dont make mistakes earlier myself of course)
But the game held me engaged for way longer than i thought so you definitively did a good job in fun!
I like the idea, but I think the fast weapon needs a bit of a damage buff. By the time I killed an enemy with it, everyone else was at my door. Didn't feel all too helpful. I liked the tone and art for the game though.

Sorry for the late answer. I'm really busy these days. I totally agree with you all that pacing is one of the biggest problems with this game. I just did not have enough time to even think about a progression system or more balancing.
At one point I had kind of a health bar for the aliens, but for some reason I threw it away.
I was going for a very hard game where you enjoy living a few seconds longer every round and finding new strategies to delay the inevitable. But this concept would have been proposed a bit more to the player 😊. Again, no time. 😁 Also the waves are too much random to compare different runs.
There are extra planets? 😆
I introduced the cooldowns to engage careful aiming and also to debuff the heavy weapon and the mines. But this was not enough to support using the light gun. A little bit more balancing would have been great.

Good work! Looks good and it was fun to play! It was a bit hard at first but I really got into it later. I really like that the enemies don't always just come from a straight line! really spices things up!
I like the art, particularly the earth's animation.
The different AI behaviors make the game much more interesting. What impressed me the most was the one that flies around the earth then beelines for it once close enough; this was difficult to counter while not feeling unfair.
I think that enemies have a bit too much health.
