Good entry. I love FPS with pixelated sprites.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD50 → Bleed

I love it! Did you make your own raycasting engine to do this? I noticed the telltale signs of it when I started the game. The sound was great to! I really like how the music ramps up over time, it really sets the whole tone of the game.
Very funny i enjoy this game!
I felt like i couldn't die by those blood balls and it was kinda hard to hit them, other than that simple but good game :)
@devparty sadly, I did not. I used GameMaker Studio 2's built in 3D stuff.
The atmosphere in this game was very interesting, i enjoyed being in the world and i think the aesthetics of the game are pretty cool. It reminds me of old school first person shooters.
Unfortunately , it's sad that the game is very very laggy , I run at low than 10fps whereas I have a pretty good computer ...
game wasfun, the hitbox of the sword its strange, not sure if its due to the animationor is too short.. or maybe a retical can help. i found i had the most fun when i was ignorant of the fact that i had a map at top left. When i noticed that the game changed for from, desperate search and checking every box and killing enemys to, what path is faster to race to exit... witch was a bit disapointing. feedback when beaing hit is good and the audio adds a lot of strees when running out of time,, witch heklps a lot with the theme, but as stated. that workseven better when you dont have a map imho. great job, keep it up
Hitting is hard, a good challenging game! A little work could be done to make aim better. But solid entry, a lot of fun,
Wow the audio sound of you bleeding out is really intense. I enjoyed it for a little while, but as @confidant17 mentioned I think the minimap being completely revealed hurt the experience of exploration for me. However the different potions were fun surprises.
I really liked the whole atmosphere, especially with how stressful it made bleeding out be. Like a couple other comments said, the sword hitbox felt a bit janky, and I wasn't sure how to time it beyond spam clicking. I had a lot of fun playing though!
The game is well made, the retro aesthetics reminf me the first "3D" dungeon game (catacomb). I like the use of the "music" to stress the player when time is running out. I'm not sure to understand the different role of the potions. The map is relatively clear but maybe too small, but it's procedurally generate that's a good point. The game is really monotone and become boring after a few level, it's really always the saame thing, the map is integrally visible that's shame for exploration, i may understand with the time limit its better to know where is the exit. So i'm divised about that game, well made but lacks of things (story, event, minotaur chasing you?) maybe.
Interesting game!
Things I liked:
- The music was a little strange but it actually did a great job of giving you a sense or urgency and anxiety - The movement felt good - The minimap was a nice touch and easy to read - I liked that every level was a little different
Things that could be improved
- I think you should start every level with your sword equipped - I felt like I was getting hit a lot despite attack the enemies as they came in at me. Maybe giving the attack a little bigger range would help - The environment was a little too samey and undetailed. Everything looked identical. Even just tinting the walls and floor different colors on the different levels would help mix it up - I wasn't sure what the blue orbs that I was collecting were used for. Were those just points?
Overall, nice job!
Love old-school style first person games! The sound of the timer ticking down complimented this great moment where I was running low on time, found and barely made it to the exit. Great sense of theming!
Interesting music, kinda unsettling. The sword's range wasn't very clear, so it was hard to attack enemies. It ended up being easier just running to the end. I like the mini-map though, and the art was nice.
Reminds me of the olden days. :D
I didn't get very far because on a laptop track pad it was kinda hard to turn, would have loved the option for fully keyboard controls. (Arrow keys for turn maybe.) The minimap is definitely much appreciated.
