Cool game! Liked the GameBoy vibe and animation. Very cool inventory system!
The gameboy vibe is captured very well. I think some kind of feedback when interacting with the engines without fuel would have been useful. The text sound at the start gets a bit grating, as it's a bit loud and has some reverb, so some better sound mixing would make that a bit better.
I love the Game Boy vibe! I share the same comments that just above, by Kwiper. Maybe more instructions in game would be better. It's a lot of text at the beginning. Also, why I should have to pick up life and ammunitions at the start?
love the art style and music that gameboy art style seriously brought me back
a very cool game with interesting game mechanics! Only I regret that the music is so short ^^'
I love the classic old school 8bit game art style. Music is simple but sounds cool. I enjoyed it a lot until i finished the 3min.
Only thing i would check is some hitbox like the path in the middle to change from reactors has some hitbox that strugled me sometimes and some monster pop too sudden. I died a few times just by having a monster spawned in the place i were.
Like the concept! Chance of enemy drop life is too low, I always die because of that. And enemy may spawn in front of my face, I had no time to react. It has a funny story and gameplay anyway!Good work!

Yeah sorry about the random spawning on the player, there are dedicated spawnpoints around the map. Spent a few hours working on an algorithm to make enemies spawn outside of the camera that never worked so I ran out of time. Will be something I will learn to do after jam haha.
Nice use of theme! I liked how the player must move around the level all the time. the collisions were a little frustrating, but i really liked the game.
Great graphic style, and it handled a lot like those old 80s/90s games it's based on. The mechanics worked well, forcing you to walk around scavenging from enemies in order to keep the correct engine topped up.
I'm a sucker for well executed pixel art, so great work there. The Gameboy style was spot on. I found the gameplay itself interesting in concept, but I has trouble with the controls as they felt a little clunky. Your take on the theme, and balancing the engines was a cool one. Nice work overall!
Very nice aestethic, a bit hard and rigid to my taste but it's a well done game :)
@namnam @almightyzentaco Hey thanks for playing! Sorry if the controlls somehow put you off. I actually wanted to make them authentic to the original GameBoy, if you remeber the very basic D-Pad input allowing one movement input at a time.
I really like the Game Boy style, this was a fun ride for me. The movement smoothing threw me off sometimes; I'd like more snappy and responsive movement but that's not a real problem at all. The Game Boy color palette, the pixel art, the music... everything feels so great. Congrats!
That's pretty cool. The one problem I had was that sometimes an enemy would spawn right on top of me.
@turquoise-moon yeah sorry about that. Was not intended, spent too long trying to make the algorythm work to make them spawn off screen so I had to drop it an just never got it working. Something that will be fixed after I update it after the jam. Thanks for playign it though.
Cute game! I like the GB-style graphics, and the gameplay is fun. The music could be better and maybe a bit more varied. Other than that, good job!
I loved that Game Boy vibe and that flair for art, good character design too. Good job!!
The game boy vibes were nice, the gameplay is a bit hard but fits my taste, the only thing I didn't enjoy were the movement controls that change the facing direction with a strange policy... It wasn't so comfortable combined with the shooting. Overall a good game!
Nice entry, the game-boy mode is really nice.
