Really enjoyed the game. I noticed that the camera clips through the wall at times, but had fun playing!
The game needs clearer instructions! I had to figure out how to power the towers by trial and error. For anyone that's confused: Use the 'link' item to connect nodes. To connect a node you have to click on the part of the node that has the ring of lights which is the base for the guns, or the top of the repeaters. It won't work if you click any other part of the gun
I like the idea of a tower defense game where all the towers are linked to the power source you have to defend. Managing power is just as much a challenge as killing enemies, but playing alone is extremely difficult. This would be perfect for multiplayer.
I think when you spawn a node, it should automatically enter link mode to make set up easier. Or maybe it should have a placing mode where it auto connects to your last placement.
The difficulty curve needs work. Wave 1 should be just one enemy that dies quickly so you can get a feeling for the game. I had to keep restarting after game over to figure out how the mechanics worked.
Oh and I found a nice glitch where if you place a railgun at the bottom of the first ramp, it turns and blocks the enemies from moving up. You can also stop or slow down enemies by standing in front of them yourself
Thanks for the feedback, unfortunately for us we didn't have the time to test enough to correct all these problems and bring a real balance.
We will take into account all that you have just transmitted to us to improve us, indeed we did not specify how to use the link tool well!
Thanks again for your feedback!
executed the idea well, very interesting
Won't lie I'm struggling to figure out what to do. I've made some guns and linked them to the middle bit but they get turned into scrap possible because things are destroying them but I can't tell. Not sure what I'm missing.
I like that you can go an an explore of the lands below - not sure if that was an intended experience but there is a surprisingly a lot down there.
@naymsayk I advise you to put a capacitor between the tower and the generator, it allows to regulate the energy, so if you click on the capacitor with the hands function it allows to empty its energy to avoid the overload
@naymsayk It is because the power you get from the central unit is continuous, to prevent your turrets from exploding (seems like they lack on the VFX part there) you need to put a condensator in your circuit. Condensators can take the central power for longer and only distribute the power needed down the line. To prevent even condensator from exploding too, you can use the *hand* tool (on top of the wheel menu) to tap them, releasing their stored energy into the void.
The game is quite hard as of released. As Mimus said earlier, we didn't get to playtest a whole lot. Check out the UI, I had to speedrun it during the last four or five hours, icons aren't great but hey.. At least there are cool neon icons!
As for every LD entry of ours, game is hard, scope was too big to allow us to allocate time to playtest and further polish. We struggle a lot with that aspect.
@lukein @mimusangel I'll give this another go with this in mind.
Great game! I really like the graphics and the idea.
This game goes way over my head  From the info and other comments it sounds like a cool and fun concept, but without proper tutorials or direction it's really hard to get into... It sounds like this game has a lot of complexity and moving parts though, so kudos to all of you for putting it all together in 72 hours!
I kinda like the idea of a first-person tower defense game, and the graphics are pretty cool. However, I found the game a bit confusing, the game could definitely use some kind of tutorial to demonstrate the mechanics, and the tank controls were frustrating. Other than that, good work.
Good, complex tower defence. I agree with the comments regarding the need for a tutorial.
I had downloaded this to play off-line without reading the tutorial text included above. Without knowing how the links work or they way you can use the condenser to regulate the power the game was impossible to pass the first wave.
Once I had read the tutorial text above, it just turned into my lack of skill preventing me passing the second wave.
Good entry! I found it hard to connect the wires at first, but once I figured it out it made sense. I think your towers overcharged too quickly and made it frustrating to try and place a tower only to have it blow up immediately after :joy: Keep on making games!
Super interesting take! A little challenging to get the hang of at first but very fun to play. Good work :)
Just a basic tutorial would have done wonders! It's confusie like hell, but otherwise a great game.
Nice Game but the instruction is not clear
Cool graphic and interesting concept. Had to read the comments here to even get towers functioning, but they don't seem to damage enemies much.
Ditto what a lot of the other comments are saying. It was really confusing to get started, and the enemies are maybe too healthy too soon.
Other than that though, it still made me want to keep playing to learn the systems and stay alive. Very very cool twist on the tower defense genre. Please let me know if you develop it further and release new versions in the future, I'd really like to play a game like this!
@mhorth Well, actually... We're working on a post-mortem version we'll release here after the ratings end. I'm pretty sure this little pic will say more than a wall of text: current.png
Took a while to work out what was going on and what to do. Even then I couldn't stop that first attack.
Took a while to figure out what to do but I really enjoyed it, nice idea
Jam Version: yea, i agree with the others. It took me some time to get how to link everything but the overloading and exploding of towers i couldnt figure out. It happens to fast for me to really understand why it happens. More instructions would be nice. New Version: I cant download the new version. The link doesnt work.
@tekk I just checked the link works, copy, paste it in your browser to download it. I don't know why the link when you click on it doesn't work... probably due to the point in it I will rename the file.
A mirror link has been added, this one seems to work!
New Version: The music is awesome :) i like the new models of the towers! The movement feels kinda slow though
