Did you publish the itch.io page? I'm getting a 404 on your link.

Game looks really cool!

I have now, it should be working! Thanks a lot, that's a pretty important step!!!

What a charming little game! It's simple on the exterior, but offers a fair bit of fun and quick replayability! Nice art style too! Kudos :)

It took me awhile to figure out the rules, but this was a cool little game! I like the visual style you went for, it looks really cohesive and clean :)

I do wish that I could have used keys on my keyboard to change my frequency, because my scroll sensitivity was much lower than yours appears to be in the gif, so I had to do a lot of uncomfortable scrolling to make adjustments to my frequency.

Nice game! Something to look is that you can still shoot the frequencies if you don“t match them.

Great theme!

tattomoosa 2021-10-04 23:54

Extremely cool but I had some issues changing frequency fast enough to match incoming waves. A little more time would help but mostly I wonder if it's dependent on scroll wheel settings. It felt a bit like once you started losing it was all over too with how quickly it expanded sometimes.

It would be nice too if there was more feedback for how close you were to matching -- I get the sense that you circle expands by less the closer you are to a perfect match? Is that right?

Also you should definitely post your score so we have one to compete against.

Great game, but I don't feel like I have much control over the frequency.

svemir 2021-10-05 00:32

Thanks for the feedback so far! I changed it so that you can use the Z and X keys to control frequency, I feel like this is okay to change so that more people can enjoy the game.

@tattomoosa Yeah, exactly! I like the idea about feedback, I see how something like a 'locked-on' signal could work. I'm not sure about the high score, pretty sure it was just under 4000 if I remember correctly!

daniel-vardimon 2021-10-05 07:20

Liked the art style, but the goal of the game is not clear enough and there's not enough feedback on what frequency should I change into, as well as the frequency doesn't change fast enough.

Hi dude, Played for a while and can say that it's a simple time killer, but it has it's own potential. What I missed is some progress in the music (like adding beats after score passes some point) and slightly more balanced learning / progress curve. Right now there is almost no time to react even in the very beginning. But overall good entry, like it

Nice game for a first ludum dare game. It's very simple but at least somewhat polished. Good job!

helicule 2021-10-07 14:26

Great work, congrats! Had a bit of trouble understanding the frequecy-control thing but ended up playing it for a while nonetheless :) Really like the minimalist visuals too!

tastiham 2021-10-07 14:29

Simple but really unique interpretation of the theme. The time you have to match the frequency is a bit tight, I think you should start with slower attacks and ramp up the speed over time. That way the player also has time to figure out what matching the frequency actually does, which is pretty unclear at the start. Really cool minigame, good job!

Really cool little concept, well done on your first game jam! The theme is a bit abstract but its a fun game to sink time into. I would maybe suggest that to make it a bit easier I would have set frequencies so that you jump from one frequency to the other in set intervals to make it easier to match your frequency with the incoming one. Good job!

Nice concept! Its a really good submission for your first jam! It is quite polished and plays quite well. good job!

npr0nn 2021-10-07 20:59

Fun concept, I like how the game is polish, the audio and animation keeps my attention, I would suggest maybe an bar to see our own frequency better and some effects in the wave destroying each other

denhette 2021-10-08 09:41

One of the stronger entries I've seen. Very cool in its simplicity and really addictive. Once you get the hang of the controls, I can imagine really getting in a zone playing this game!

ttu-hasan 2021-10-08 09:42

great concept and execution. really fun to play

glenugie 2021-10-08 15:05

Neat little game, I'd have loved to see a little more explanation on the rules - specifically what changing the frequency was needed for, maybe I just didn't get far enough in but it seemed like I could take out most incoming waves regardless of what my own frequency was set to. That said, the actual gameplay is pretty well solid, and I could see losing a fair bit of time trying to chase a high score. Well done on your first game jam!
