Hey! I am really interested in your game. Can you help me to understand it:)?

It reminded me of Subterfuge somehow, have you played it?

I tried to understand the UI.. The green planets were mine, white neutral, red was my opponent? I couldn't quite figure out how to capture or turn other planets, and building things seemed very broken. You can stack an infinite number of buildings on a planet for seemingly no cost. I'd love to see more of 4X games like this, but a quick instructions list on the main page would help.

@mrbell270 thanks for your comment, I am currently working on it - btw thanks for mentioning Subterfuge , it looks like it would be something to me.

@truewolves you are mostly right about the UI, I have updated my game's Ludum page (and also the itch page soon).

I tried figuring out the gameplay and it was pretty difficult, doing a 4x game for a game jam is a Huge attempt so I want to properly understand what I'm doing, do you have a written tutorial anywhere?

I tried but I didn't understand you game. I commend you for making a 4X game in a gamejam. Your game looks pretty cool: dense, complex with many features to play with. Be proud, my friend. Thanks for sharing.

yep i agree with the comments above, really appreciated the effort and bravery of making such a cool game!

Game looks interesting. I like the graphis but I'm struggling with understanding what I actually have to do

khofez 2021-10-09 02:39

had a hard time understanding what was happening =/

I think I won, but I'm not really sure how? I set up a few planets with some buildings and then let a couple turns run by and then I was back in the menu. I think I get what was going on for the most part, but I thought that I had to control a fleet on the screen and send them to different planets to conquer them or something and I don't think that's what was happening at all. I get that its also pretty hard to teach people how to play your game, especially if it's for a game jam and you're on a time crunch. I thought it was a cool thing to do though!

The game is quite complicated. It has some interesting mechanics, but the player has no idea what to do. The AI still doesn't do much, and there are a few bugs. Maybe you can continue working on it!

Neat game, reminds me a little bit of Stellaris' pop management. Really like the scale of it. Nice work!

retrome 2021-10-16 14:29

Interesting concept. Playing versus AI feels like you have infinite resources so you can do anything but nothing forces you to act against AI. Think it would be great to see a video tutorial on how is it expected to be played.

It's amazing how much work you got done so quickly!

gamebucha 2021-10-20 13:53

Your game is excellent, it gave me a lot of unforgettable emotions!

Good game idea, but of course too complex to be well done as LD entry. I did like the graphics, especially planets.

Moving fleets is well done and straightforward, I like the radius circle. Sadly I couldn't figure out how to attack other fleet (if possible) or a planet or anything. I guess something was happening towards attacking a planet with me clicking around but I couldn't tell what. Also the game abruptly ended at some point, not sure why and who won. There is probably a decent market for indy space strategies, but what you should focus on most is giving players feedback so they know what is going on.
