This is so amazingly beautiful! Loving the color palettes and abstractness! Also loving how procedural and systemic this base is! Can really see the potential here. Very clean UI, very intuitive resource display.
I'm tempted to leave it on overnight to let the number roll higher haha!
I may have spammed too many ants, hahah it's a little laggy!

I love the style, it reminds of FLOW from thegamecompany. Gameplay is fun but a big problem its lagging when you spawn a lot of creatures. GREAT job.
I love the graphics but it's not very clear what's happening with the ants. Also, after about 200 seconds it starts lagging very badly even though I only had about 6 ants.
Absolutely gorgeous game, and very innovative.

The design is beautiful and the concept is great. shame there isn't music in the background and after a short while the game starts to lag. overall great job!
I really like the procedural nature and art style of this game! You need a minute to get started but everything is quite intuitive.
Too bad the webgl version runs extremely slow after only 10 minutes. Also, some workers get stuck for no apparent reason.
The Graphics are stunning and the concept is fun ! The only poblem is that the game get slower with time on the webgl version of the game. Great stuff, well done !

Thanks for the feedback everyone! :) Unfortunately we didn't have time to optimize the game properly (or at all) during the jam, but now we've uploaded a new version which hopefully improves the situation. :)

I really love the visual style. I felt it was a bit hard to figure out what numbers would be good to increase, it might be interesting to let the player choose between how the creature balances different priorities/behaviours so you can make more specialised creatures (for example a fast one that ignores gathering resources but just explores)

-Really cool game! I love the sacred geometry style artwork and watching my little guys moving around. I think I spent more time with this entry than any others so far!
-I couldn't figure out what some of the stuff did (mostly sensitivity, strength, endurance, and the large button). It also seemed like like my dudes weren't interacting with the AI ones (Im guessing there was combat that didn't make it in and thats what some of the stats were for?). -I had a couple units get stuck (I had some with 200 speed and they all got stuck instantly), and sometimes they would go in circles especially at the edge of a map, but I only started noticing frame rate dropping after I had something like 80+ units (web version), but it was still very playable so good job with the optimizing!
There's so much potential with this I hope you guys build on it more. It was seriously fun! ant.png

Hey, @itsboats ! :) Thanks for the feedback and I'm glad you had some fun!
You are correct that there was a plan to have combat, but we didn't have time to implement it. :( The stats are used for stuff, but I admit it's not obvious at all. Stat info also didn't make it into the build. :D - Sensitivity - increases the radius in which an ant sees (the fog of war removal thing), and also allows it to sense food and danger (which doesn't really exist) from further away. - Strength - increases the amount of food an ant can carry. - Endurance - decreases how often an ant needs to eat. - The big button is for spawning a new food storage - an expansion building of sorts. You click on it, and then click somewhere to build the thing. Ants can now bring food there and also eat there. They don't need to go to the main base.
As for the circles and getting stuck - I think it's higher AI brain power which we don't understand + laziness. :D
Thanks again! :) <3

love the art! good work getting this finished during a jam =)
This is really cool. The controls are explained pretty well. I did a bunch of things and feel like i got decently far but, at one point i started losing resources and don't really understand why. maybe too many 50$ entities? idk. other than not knowing how the points work, aaawwweeessssoommmeeee game
The presentation here is stellar! It's really clean and easy to understand. Though it took me a while to figure out what the gameplay was, once I got going it was a great lot of fun!
Really nice work!
I had trouble figuring the game out but had a lot of fun once I got going. Might be nice to have a fast forward button for QOL. I kind of wish there was some sound. Perhaps basic audio feed back on creating units or getting/losing resources and some background music or ambient noise. The graphics are great and would look good on a fully fleshed out game let alone a 72 hour project. Great entry with future potential. :)
