The music and color palettte are awesome! I could be bad at playing games but I can't seem to get pass the first boss without dying.

I liked the grapple mechanic. Also nice sprites and colours, the enemies seem a bit buggy though and you can't shoot them once they get too close to you.
The graphics make for a cool aesthetic. The game was a little hard. The tutorial text popping up in the middle of the screen got in the way a lot and made it distracting.
Cool game. I love the grapple
The grappling hook is a nice add to this game, gameplay is cool, it's nice!
I really enjoyed the music and sound effects, even though I kept dying, I kept playing. I would shoot my blaster to the beat of the music.
I really enjoyed this game, the sound the graphics and most of all the concept, it was a joy yo play thanks.
Its a fun game, I liked the rock-and-roll music to go along with the shoot-em-up. Would be nice to have a checkpoint between the start of the game and the 1st boss.
Really nice visuals and the grapple hook was a fun mechanic! It's a really nice entry, would love to see me!
Good job with this game! The grappling hook was fun, heh. I totally pwn3d all the bad guys. =P
Enemies dying in pits doesn't work in the webGL version
I sometimes died unexpectedly, like when walking over the grapple anchor on the floor. I liked the art and the music, it goes toghether well. Kinda got a "Firefly" vibe from it :-) Good job.
Thanks everyone for the kind words! I’m happy that everyone is enjoying the game! It was a joy to make with the team and it’s awesome to see so many people having fun playing it. As a side note, the game is meant to be hard in the spirit of Roguelikes and there are no checkpoints in the spirit of permadeath. Don’t give up if you keep dying! Here are some tips:
-Don’t grapple enemies unless they are on the other side of pits
-Grapple onto walls to get away from bullets and fast melee enemies
-Explore everything before advancing to the next area (there are some pretty good powerups laying around)
-Don’t touch pits (like at all). The hit box for pits is a bit too big, so if you touch them, they will damage you.
-If the WebGL version doesn’t let you move with the WASD keys when you start the game reload the page cause that’s a glitch in the WebGL version.
And most importantly have fun and keep grappling!
@msipp27 The WebGL version can be a bit glitchy. Not entirely sure why, but enemies should die in pits if you grapple them from the other side of the pit. The enemies won’t voluntarily go into the pits, but grappling them in should work.
@ondy1985 You probably died unexpectedly because you touched the edge of a pit. Unfortunately, the hit box for the pits are too large, so instead of falling into them, when you touch the edge you take damage. Definitely something that would have been fixed if there was more time.
@tengusheath Thanks for the advice about the tutorial text. We’ll have to make it a bit less distracting next time around.
@pandepic Didn’t have time to add pathfinding AI to the enemies so they sometimes get stuck on walls because they are attempting to go toward the player but there is a wall in the way. Also, should have allowed the player to walk through enemies after getting damaged in order to avoid dying by being cornered by enemies. Thanks for the critique.
good game! a bit buggy tho and needs checkpoints
