Perfect gaming experience...
The lightning-esque random generation is such a cool mechanic. The music was a little confusing but the art otherwise was really fitting.
Cool concept ! Don't hesitate to take a look at my game ;)
The music is a bit too repetitive and I'm not so sure about the whistle. On a positive note, the root growth is sick and now I am very curious to how you managed that!
pretty funny mechanics, love the game !
I've never played anything like this. :O
This is such a great use of the theme! The controls feel great, and the animation is really good. Even without any objective, the game is very satisfying to play.
It's such a good and original idea... I feel like this would have the potential to become another fun plant-themed game in the same vibe as Pikmin.
Please let us know if you plan on developing this further, I would like to see more!
very nice conpect,I deep down for 5 mins and there are no ending, add some levels and troubles can be more fun
cool-looking root generation, would have been nice to actually have a bit more... game
Great simulator! I felt like a real growing root! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
OK, seriously, not sure I would call this a game, but it was a nice, if somewhat psychedelic, experience for a while.
The root rendering is pretty slick. The sound also worked well for me, including the whistle! The music variation depending whether you are moving or stopped was nice.
And, yes, the gamepad works! :video_game:
That was interesting, I really like the root generation system, it's mesmerizing to look at. The fact that the music only continues when moving made me want to keep playing just so it wouldn't stop, that's a neat way to encourage the player.
Other than that, it's a shame that there weren't any goals other than the score or more mechanics, but it's still a really cool game you've managed to put together, good job!
I thought the adaptive soundtrack was really cool, with how it panned left and right or faded out depending on how fast and in what direction you were going! The way the root looks as it moves was also really well done, there was clearly a lot of effort put into how that looked and how it should feel to move around rocks, etc.
Only suggestion would be to add some sort of reward for collecting a certain number of water pockets. It wouldn't need to be much, just a little "Congratulations" pop up or a small visual effect, so the player is given permission to stop playing before they get completely bored.
Moving is super fun. The game is very confusing and doesn´t have any objective. Some objective would make the game more fun.
Nice grass swaying in wind animation. Root animation is satisfying, movement felt good. Interesting idea to tie music to moving. Personally I preferred the mood of the quiet beats underground, but then the game seems to restart if I enjoyed the quiet for too long. I guess that was the point.
