After all these years I still don't know to avoid explosives, lol. The constant wobble of everything felt a bit weird, but it's a very straight forward easy to understand game which is a big bonus imo. Too often in jams games I have no idea what I'm supposed to do but this one was rather intuitive.
What's the "highest value" gem? I made it down to emerald(?) I think. Fun game!

Fun! The inconsistent speed of the drill was a bit disorienting, but it was still pretty fun!
Upgrades were cool, and the simplicity works well, nice job!

I wish the movement speed of the drill and the background was synchronized (some sort of inverse kinematics), the current result feels quite "floaty", it's hard to get a sense for getting deeper, because there's no steady reference points.
Who keeps planting these explosives and what do they have against me? But seriously, the game is straightforward, but a bit simplistic. It's a too easy to dodge completely static obstacles, so the game probably needs something a little more to stay engaging. I also noticed that the player drifts slowly off the top of the screen the more you play, which is probably a bug.
@nick-barrash the highest value gem is a diamond. It apears right after the emerald, you were almost there, hahaha.
