Oops. Got a virus message while downloading the rar file.
@eeperdeheap I did not get a virus message
I played till the end, and managed to get to the good ending on my first try.
I think the time limit is unnecessary. In one Wagon I did not know what to do, so I just went everywhere and pressed F simultaneously. From then on, that was the fastest&easiest way to do it. I still don't know what the long gray item is supposed to be.
Really .. I reloaded, now it should work fine
the long gray item is a screwdriver:D
I think it is a really great game. But the problem I found was that you could just spam f to solve the puzzles and otherwise it was really hard to find stuff. Maybe you could've put outlines around the interactable stuff.
Cool look and feel to the game, but there was a real lack of feedback that made it hard to tell what was going on. I kinda found that the most effective strategy was to run up and down the carriage mashing interact. I think the time limit could have played into this - maybe if there was a little dialog box that played each time I interacted with something and ate up time it would have forced me to be a bit more thoughtful?
I really liked the graphics and style of the game. The gameplay was a bit simple and like other people here, I just kept pressing F on everything until I got past each level. But still a really good entry!
Loved the graphics but the mechanichs where to simple just going left right spamming F.
The graphic style was dope. However, gameplay was just running arround spamming F with no logic or reason. At least that was for me.
the music is pretty cool, and grpahics too ! But yeah same thing for the ninjustsu technique of spamming f. Anyway I had a nice time playing it :)
Cool puzzle game. I liked the soundtrack too :)
It took me a cart or two before I even noticed that there was a clock ticking, and that was about the time when I also developed the strategy for spamming F. My main reason for doing that was also that some of the smaller things were a bit too hard to spot really and the learning part of what things opened interactions with other things were either not intuitive enough or too fast (too much complexity added in each cart). Good entry though.
It might seem like a minor point, but I really liked that you put it in a folder inside the zip archive. It saved me some work organizing it amongst all of the other LD games.
I think there's really not enough time spent thinking, everything just sort of blurred into each other. What I think you should do is make the timer much longer and have us use the mouse to find things so we actually know where we found them.
One thing I do like though is that all you need to do is have an item to be able to use it, It makes things easier.
One other thing I will mention is that the game was a lot longer then i was expecting, for a second you had me thinking that the puzzles were randomized and would never end and I would be cursed to hear that elevator music forever...
... You should do that, just constantly solving randomized puzzles with an annoying elevator theme playing, till you break out of the loop. Would be a great way to claim your games name.
For the record I think the other themes are better then the first.
I like the concept and had fun trying to make it through in time. Nice in-game pixel art too. Good work!
