As you mention, it's not a very complete game, but there are some solid mechanics here that you could build on. One suggestion - have you thought about giving the player a light source? It gets real dark underground! Some nice 3D models and animations, and some appropriate SFX. Nice job

I won't beat you up too bad over the game not being finished. I will say that it wasn't clear to me whether I was actually collecting any minerals. There was no counter or indicator or anything. I had a bit of fun trying to see how deep I could go, until that made the game crash. To its credit, this game did give me a bit of nostalgia for 2010 Minecraft, so good job there.

Nice, little concept of the game. It shows that there some ideas that were not properly implemented, though the replicating something similar to minecraft voxel engine in GameJame time is impressive by itself.

I could not figure out if there is a link between being able to shoot a box of mineral to space and actually having the minerals collected. It felt like the animation of sending mineral would play no matter what.

Love the effect of drill head actually maving to the block that is being mined.

The game feels like it has a strong foundation to be made into something more, which in my opinion, is half of the purpose of Ludum Dare! Two things that I had a little trouble with, is that firstly, it's quite tough to find the mineral hut if I travel too far away, so maybe something to point in the direction of it would be quite helpful. Secondly, the hitbox for the main character is a little unintuitive, where things that feels like I shouldn't collide with collides. If you would like to, I think that you can certainly keep working on this and make it into more!

This is a really nice looking prototype. I bet you could build on this pretty easily. As you mentioned it is not much to look for around, but anyway great job on what you have done! All you have in there works good and the way you described, and that is a success.

Pretty good job making a working voxel terrain system in time, digging is always good fun. I lost my hut early unfortunately and got lost

Incomplete as it is, I did enjoy digging. I got kinda lost upon my return to the surface, haha. Looks great and would be a good prototype to build on.

It's ironic that even though there were a lot of digging games in LD48, I haven't encountered a Minecraft clone until now. Good job on implementing this in 48 hours!
