Yep we all feel it. The solution is to stop. dwelling on it
Feel good hit of the century, fun for the whole family
Welp, this was more dystopian than I was expecting. Still, not far off from my average day-to-day life, so kudos for that. Definitely a unique take on the theme!
This entry is far different from the rest and I thought it was really interesting. It did hit a little close to home which was something surprising for a jam game. Working on something all by yourself can feel like this. At first I was surprised by the fact that I could only do actions in a certain order, but it made sense when I thought about how I normally am with a work day and how I feel the need to do some things before others. My one point of criticism would be that the cooking part felt like it was separated from the artstyle a little. But I might be wrong and that could be the "brighter part of the day", which adds to the depressing nature of the game if a single cooked egg is the highlight of the day. Good job with this one!
@nobongo thanks for the feedback! I started the jam later than I wanted to, so I limited my scope a lot. That's why dinner was just an egg haha. And yeah, I did try to use a little more color variety for the highlights of the day. I'm glad it was noticed!
Cool concept, how do i interact, or are there no interactions?
@chukwuebuka-racer You can use E to interact with any interactable objects. The first one is the doorway, and then the computer in that room.
Idea is nice and so real. Would be better if you can add control hint some where cause I need to read through the comment section to know that I can hit E. Anyway, interesting work.
Thanks for the feedback @withee-poositasai! I added some better instructions to this page.
Hit close to home except that the computer is in its own separate room. At least you don't work where you sleep in this virtual isolation.
Love the timely concept!
Nice game.
At the beginning, it was fun to feel myself a programmer and typing all these code, but once I did this, game became very atmosphere and depressed, mood is great, sound too, graphics is simple, however i liked your artstyle. Overall, very good game! I hope you'll rate my game too!
Good mood and music. Right on the theme and the feels. The graphics are a bit crude and gameplay is very limited. I liked how you code the fake login screen itself.
at first the game seems difficult but then the plot and atmosphere are revealed. I like it
I loved the music loop. Any chance you've got it uploaded to youtube or somewhere?
Other than that... well, the feeling is definitely there. Well done.
I really liked the aesthetic the game. The objective was rather unclear and it felt like I was just walking around repeating tasks over and over again. Kinda reminds me of being depressed in a small apartment. This totally captured that for me. Just add a bucket of ice cream and it's a flashback.
Pretty Calming. Fits the theme well, The art could use a bit of work. The audio is great. I was confused on what was interactible and what wasn't. It's somewhat Moody and Humerous. Overall, Good work! Keep it up :)
