Pretty fun game with a cool concept! The lighting and graphics contributed well to the mood.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD46 → Campfire in the dark

Pretty fun game with a cool concept! The lighting and graphics contributed well to the mood.
I really like the lighting effects. It's enjoyable when i upgrade my sword and start slashing them down faster lol. Good job!
your system design is well done! it needs some balancing but the torch mechanic is neat and the upgrades feel good. what's lacking the most here is game feel--some work needs to be put into making the combat and movement feel smooth. good work.
Nice little survival, blending action and some of rpg.
the game design was pretty cool. I only wish it wouldn't spawn so many so fast. Cool game!
Great game! I wish I could play it for longer, I found myself surrounded by dozens of torches, fending off from hordes of zombies, and the game just ends. Very fun concept though
Great idea with the torches! it made the game feel somewhat like a tower defence game! Would be nice to have a bit more enemy types.
Nice game!Really enjoy playing it!Good job my bro!!:)
That's some pretty nice game mechanics to combine the darkness survival with some kind of tower defense with the torches. Well done in this short amount of time. I also like the atmosphere. But some (even very simple) background music could have improved this even further. Also the difficulty curve is somewhat off after some time, but we all know this is an issue in game jams, right? :)
Thanks for your suggestion! @merotar
Nice entry! Really enjoyed the uniqueness of the game mechanics. This could definitely exist outside the jam with a little bit of polishing.
I liked it a lot :) I think being able to set up torches to expand the field of vision was a really neat idea. It also posed a dilemma in terms of balancing the need to protect the fire with the want of placing more torches which added to the gameplay imo. Everything was slick and well done, awesome job!
That was good fun, but got completely overwhelming very quickly. And all my torches went out when my campfire died!
nice concept
pros: - Clean graphics - Skill system to explore - Different ways to progress and fight enemies - Solid gameplay
cons: - Difficulty spikes way too fast - Some bugs
I liked this game. Rarely do I want to replay a jam game multiple times, but this one provided options in exploring game styles, which made me wonder "what if I skill this" or "what if I put all my torches there". Unfortunately I would always die almost at the same spot, betcaue enemies would start overwhelming me really fast. Overall this is a pretty neat game, Would not say it's super inovative, but it has solid gameplay, that I would love to see more of.
PS. I feel like you deserve more feedback/ratings, so I suggest uploading web version next time.
@fancyreckless Thanks for your useful suggestion! Web version is important, I can't agree with you more. But I have some technical problems with my framework on making web version package and I can't solve them in short time. Thanks again!
Super fun! With some polish it could be amazing!
Good game! I liked the graphics and the mechanics. I just wish that the game would keep on going for longer because it started to get really fun just before it ended. Overall a good jam game!
i liked the art and i found fun the game
It was hell of a fun! When's the dawn? Always died at 5:00 :( It felt fair though, I feel like I could do better next time - that is one hell of an achievement for you!
What bothered me a bit was campfire collider, I got stuck where I felt I should "float" around the round campfire, which cost me few deaths. But apart from that the gameplay felt very cool, very responsive, hitting the foes felt very satisfying and the challenge was there!
I enjoyed it very much, thank you!
