Love the artstyle!
Cool game. I really like the particle affects of the flames and the scenery looks nice as well. My own problem was that I felt like the rock was overpowered, while the lightning didn't do much, so I was spamming that most of the time. I would have liked some more options to give a bit more strategy to the game. But overall it's a nice game. Good job!
PS: If the music was not made by a member of your team during the jam, you should opt out of the audio category.
Thank you! @sheepolution Yeah, the boulder is definitely the most useful tool in your tool kit hahaha. Found it difficult to balance in the 72 hour timer period XD <3
Love the feedback! :] @tengii
Nice character design for that bear! I had trouble with the lighting strikes as well but graphics were nice, congrats for your first entry !
The art is great, the audio matched, and the theme was funny. It got frustrating as I had to watch the bear lemming into traps while the boulder was on cooldown, and I'm honestly clueless about what allowed my cursor to block the enemy caster's fire only half the time, but aside from that it was fun.
GJ Keep it up man!
The design of this game is very well done. Everything from the particle effects to the parallax looks great! I found it kind of hard to control the bear, but maybe I was missing something. Great job!
This is great. It did seem like the abilities needed some balancing, but that is understandable for a jam. Would be cool to see what it would turn into with a little more development.
I did spend like half the game trying to figure out what the little i or w on the humans was supposed to mean, before I realized.
Really nice visuals! Everything looks very good and polished. Sadly can't play it myself as I'm using Linux. Your making of video was very good though, wish more LD people would do that. :)
Thank you so much @very-dark-lord Means a lot you watched the video :)
LMAO @eran-haas Are you referring to their weapons? XD solid. <3
Thank you for all the feedback! I appreciate it <3 @kyle-bowman @elektroney @yadoob :]
I'm really impressed by the level of production in this game ! I found the concept really cool ! And the universe that you crafted is so coherent and nice !
The gameplay mechanics are nice too, however, I would have like more information on why we can do this spell at this moment, and other not. I think that a little UI element like a cooldown could help, in order to provide this type of information.
Overall, very nice work ! (One of the best game I've played so far on this LDjam) I will see the making of video on it ! :)
@edalbung Thank you so much! Your words mean the world! Loved your entry as well friend :) <3
This game was pretty fun, but I didn't understand what the fire power did, or the lightning, other than stunning the enemies. But I really liked the concept.
Thank you @theqiwiboy the fire is an offensive ability to kill enemies and gain some health back in the process. It doesn't work too well, as the game was made in such a short span of time, but it is what it is LMAO
The graphics are so amazing! I love the sprites, animations, particle effects, all that was really great! Music and sound effects are very good! The mood of the game is really nice, cute little world! It's sad the lightning spell didn't do much, but the rock was great. Using it and crashing all these poor guys was very satisfactory. I didn't really understand how the bear moved (when I tossed rock to the left he started going to the left for some time, then switched back and went to the right) and how I somehow blocked the enemy magician's fire XD
Thank you for the amazingly kind words! @kaeveris The bear had an unintelligent A.I that would randomly pick directions and actions to do, having a heavy focus on moving right, but being a bit random (the bear is not a smart cookie), but would get influenced by things going on in the game (getting attacked a ton, the boulders, etc). Thank you again for the feedback!!! <3
Pretty fun game. The difficulty curve is good. Though, I didn't really understand how the re-charging of the spells worked.
Thanks! @mika-la-grand It is just a cool down timer :) super simple, super basic, but not a lot of time to work on it ;)
@reece-geofroy Alright, well maybe there can be a visual bar over the icon that indicates the cool down progress.
Beautiful little original piece. A little difficult, sometimes it's hard to understand the effect of moves and guiding the bear, but otherwise very enjoyable!
Thanks so much! @punchcafe Yeah, the difficulty curve was definitely not set up correctly, but I hope you still enjoyed the experience! :)
I quite enjoyed this. It was one of the few games that actually managed to finish. It was a little confusing at first but I got the hang of it afer a while. It would have been cool if I could have smashed the buildings in town but overall I thought it was really fun.
Really glad you enjoyed the game! @disthron Yeah, destroying the buildings was definitely something I wanted to implement, but ran out of time :P
The graphics are really astounding. Everything from the fire effects to the font really looks like a part of a polished and finished game. It looks coherent too, which is what many games lack. Nice job here.
The mechanics are cool, though the descriptions of spells & other important things are better to be put inside the game, and not on the game's page, as people (me included) tend to skim through them. I was a bit confused about why my big teddy was moving around, and then I figured out that he likes the ball (yeah, I checked the game page more thoroughly later); also I though I could control it but then I figured out I should guide it instead.
Anyways, that was just a really minor thing to mention. I actually liked the gameplay once I got it figured out. If you're planning to do a full version, then it would be cool to have more ways to influence the bear. I liked the idea with the ball a lot, but it could be expanded into spawning meat mid-air to make him jump on some slopes, some screeching spell to make him stop, or whatever you come up with.
A great entry!
Thank you sooooo much @ceuteum That was some AMAZING feedback and I agree with everything you said! Definitely was a time restriction to include controls in the actual game, but I'm really glad you liked the entry! :)
