Music is great and I really dig the art and animations for the game. The world that you built is vibrant and really shows off your creativity. While I did find the tutorial to be a bit hard to beat (the high jump before learning how to sprint as well as the spikes for sprinting took me multiple tries to get past), I love your game idea and can see lots of potential for world building and level design in this work if you decide to keep polishing up the game. Nice job!

The game looks really great. Looks very professional. I felt the theme was not strongly represented here. Seemed like a regular platformer with an egg on top. Maybe if the egg was in more danger than the hero I would have a different opinion on that. The one hit point and long checkpoints were a bit of a turnoff. Touching the sides of the spikes got you killed, that's never fun. It may seem like I'm complaining but it's just something to work on. I still think this is a good entry. Good work.

The graphics on this are really good! The composition of the style seems well thought out, and I like how vibrant the colors are. I would have liked to have more horizontal momentum, and the dash seems difficult to judge because of how far it travels.

Great game - very hard. Some of the spike hitboxes didn't seem quite right and sometimes the player can get stuck when triple jumping, but otherwise excellent stuff. Is the impassable-looking spike-field the end of the game though?

@saltfactory-studio Hey! thank you so much, everything but the audio was done from scratch xD we actually used a existing track we had bought, we were surprised by how well it fit the game.

@blabberf To be completely honest there was a time constraint we would have liked to introduce checkpoint but due to time that was the first feature we had to scrap.

@no-grapes-games we were going to make it so if the egg got hit it would die too and have more meaningful levels with the egg at its center ( for example areas that are covered in ice where you have to use the torches to make sure it stays warm to get it through to the end) but we ended up having to cut that out after some hiccups same with the checkpoints we were going to introduce a half point checkpoint but didn't have time to implement that either. Thank you so much for your feedback its super appreciated and will keep that in mind going forward if we decide to keep exploring this idea and make it into a full release.

@grantimation Thank you for the honest feedback will keep that in mind for the future when it comes to the dash :p

@Aik Its beatable but the levels are overturned due to time constraints of the jam a lot of the levels were still being tweaked up until the final hour of the jam while putting all the art in. We will probably update it and definitely fix the spike hitboxes :)

The game is fun, although dying is very punishing as it teleport you all the way back to the start. Like you said checkpoint feature would be ideal, but it's alright, we all understand it due to time constraint. I also found a bug where you actually get launched all the way outside of the map (not sure how to recreate it). I love game with dashing mechanic! Overall, solid submission!

Punishing, but pretty fun. Needing to throw the egg in order make jumps is pretty tough. There was an area with two spike spawners on the ground, and two grass platforms in the air, one on the right you need to double jump to, and another area across the way that it seems like shift jumping is the easiest way to get to. The spike area above there is as far as I got. I'm pretty sure the door to the conveyor belt in the area before that is supposed to be open - getting the egg through those triple spawners is tough =P. Really would have been nice if the checkpoints worked XD.

Bit buggy with the gravity occasionally being disabled or something, and it seemed like some spikes the egg could kill, and some killed the egg, so that was a thing. I thought the conveyor belt areas were the most thematic. Getting to the egg to warm it up before time ran out. Those were my favorite mechanics. There were situations that I found myself waiting around for the egg to warm up though, and that was not the best experience. Was that going to be an additional function of the checkpoints? Some of them seemed well positioned for that.

Overall quite enjoyable.

Bro, your game is super fun to play and the art, music and atmosphere is awesome!!! Maybe you need nerf some obstacles, i got stuck in the second stage, in the beggining. But overall the game is amazing!!! Well done!!!

@spyispie120 Yeah, this being our first main game jam, we had to cut some things out of the picture in order to make the deadline, glad you liked it however.

@gamecarpenter Thanks for your feedback, glad to see despite the bugs there's still an enjoyable game. Most of the levels were my original design but as I still had to work on 2 of the days I couldn't adjust them. The levels were barley changed however, more spikes were added quickly and some of their hitboxes I've noticed are off.

@rafa-braga Thanks man, idk if you looked for our game after I played yours or if this is just coincidence but I appreciate it. Like I said early some spikes were added last minute and the hitboxes are a little bigger than what they should be but I'm glad you liked it.

To be completely honest I would have liked to play this game more and see any other interesting things you've might have had in there but I couldn't get past the double spike setup even after half a dozen attempts and so gave up. :( So the things I liked: the graphics and the egg carrying mechanic, which forces you to strategize your play. For a first game jam attempt this is pretty good! This was my first game jam too and you've seen my attempt. ;) So well done for getting so many things right.
