Ahhhghh so much multitasking this is stressful haha. The music and visuals are cool love the fleshy monster! I feel like it's a bit demanding of the player might be nice to have a few tries in each new task when it comes up so you dont just game over straight away when you dont know what is going on!

Could probably do with a bit of a summary of the controls. Wasn't sure if I was supposed to furiously mash keys or just sort of hold them there? Also a score counter would be nice to see if you're actually having an effect. Still, liked the concept!

I didn't understand the game. It needs something like tutorial.

fupi 2020-04-22 21:50

I think it's a good idea, just wish you didn't have to start all over again every time, because getting back takes a while and usually the new task just shows up and you lose immediately. It ends up being more tedious than difficult to have to redo everything. I really enjoy the theme and art, I can see you've done your research because this is exactly what a satanic ritual feels like.

Looks interesting, but difficult to understand the controls. Should have been more clear what the buttons the book told me to press actually did. Maybe some blinking box around the thing it affected would help. It's a shame though, because the music is great and the art looks great as well.

I really like the idea of trying to summon an demon in a teenage room! And the book with the controls was a nice touch.

It was a little hard to understand, I think it might work better if you pause the game when one of the goals fails and highlight it before showing the game over screen.

This could be great with some small tweaks!

It took me a little while to figure out that the paintings were the tasks. Also some of the tasks are a bit unintuitive. For example, the fact that w decreases blood flow and s increases it seems inverted to me. The concept and art are really good though.

Didnt understand what was supposed to be done...Like what does it mean for not letting the clock strike 12...A tutorial would be great. Very cool concept though and amazing graphics.

Fun and challenging. Good that it is so hard to summon demons. The game is pretty self-explanatory, plus the tutorial is right there, so I think you are good here. What I think you are missing is an indication of the fail itself, 1,2 seconds before the end screen. So that we now what we do wrong faster(like after the first fail). Also your screen size is a little big, so I didnt see the eye at first.

Interesting concept, but I think it would have been nice if the game over screen told you wich part of the ritual you failed. It gets hard to keep track of everything and knowing which minigame you failed this time would have been nice. Also, I was not able to understand the arrow sequence puzzle. I understand that I need to press the arrow keys in order, shown on a poster, but I've got a game over screen every time I've tried to complete the sequence.

I can't deny you got me hooked trying over and over again, more than with other Jam games! The music is nice, the visuals are wonderful and the concept is really original. I wish it was more clear what I was doing wrong, specially on later tasks, as failing once usually doesn't give you enough (if any) info of what you did wrong. With the clock it was not an issue because you can get there super quick, but with the arrows, it takes a solid minute to get there, and then you have like 3 seconds before you lose, and you need to figure out what you need to do while also avoid failing the other tasks you're already juggling, and after 10 tries failed at that, I just gave up. I understand it's a challenge, and when you do figure something out, it's rewarding, but you might lose some players in the process.

Don't get discouraged by that, yours is probably the best game I've tried for now :D

@ebediam Thanks for the kind words! We tried to give it a little bit of a roguelike feel in regards to minimal direction, but it's understandable that can get a bit annoying.

For future reference, all you have to do is watch the white arrows, wait until the arrow game turns red, and then input the red arrows in the order that the white arrows appeared on the screen. Kind of like Simon. Or DDR.

Loved the concept!! Hard to keep track of all the tasks but I had a lot of fun!!

daniil-tcyvakin 2020-04-26 23:37

creative idea, but lagging and everything isn't working

Grate idea, cool graphics and music!!!

The game mood was nice. The art was very nice and the gameplay was very fun. I really loved the game. There are some things I didn't like tho.

- I spent like 50% of the time I was playing the game by trying to figure out what does: "Dont let it strike 12" means. **I would appreciate either a tutorial, or a description on this post.** - Later, when there was a lot of things to do, I quite didn't even noticed that I lost. And so I was a little bit angry, that I do not know why did I lost. **So I personally would add a 'reason why did the player lost' screen**.

This is a great entry, I think the art style and direction is great. I do agree with the ease-of-use concerns brought up by the other commenters, but I think this is a great execution of a simple concept.
