I wasn't able to successfully craft any potion combinations, but I think I may have missed something. I do like the interpretation of the theme in that being a shopkeep keeping things alive is intriguing to me.

@megamasterx Hi thanks for the nice comment and sorry about the lack of information on crafting potions. You simply chose ingredients on the left side of the arrow then click the arrow to craft desired potion. Once the potion is crafted you can click on the it to serve the customer on the front of the queue.

I couldn't craft the potions. I guess that's the part you could not finish. I would want to play this game though

@bearding8 I'll try to make my core gameplay mechanic more clear in my future games 😅. Thank you for your comment! I would too 😀

Unlike the others I could craft potions just fine. Nice concept and I like the graphics, feel retro. Would be fun with more potion combinations and additional mechanics to mix it up.

Good concept. The game play smooth but it became repetitive really fast. The art was good. Didn't think it really met the theme (shop name is "Keep it Alive).

Hi I could craft potion too tthat's a good idea ! I think that just one other kind of glass for other kind of potion and timer to complete the custumer request would be an easy way to add difficulty for the v2 ^^ Funny art!

Good job! I really missed a gameover or something that would make the game difficult, but as you say, the game is not complete. However, nice job again, and keep it alive!

Some potential with this game if you could start to use different mixes of color to get the right potion. It's always tough to finish in this jam either but you put together something anyway which is better than nothing.

Fun idea, hope you manage to finish next time!

Nice basic concept, you could definitely have done with more time to expand on the idea and improve the difficulty and the base underlying mechanics.

Some direction to say that you need to press the > arrow to create the potion then click on the potion might go some way to helping the playability aspects of it.

It's a shame you didn't get the finish the game, glad you have uploaded it and allowed peeps to try it anyway! I'm not sure what else you had planned for the game, but If you were to continue, I'd like to offer some considerations for it.

First of all, it seems to make no difference whatsoever whether the customer gets the potion in 10 seconds, or 10 minutes. They will happily wait for that colourful-looking cure(curse?)! And after they get their long awaited precious, they leave, no thanks, no payment, just straight out the door never to be seen again. The similarities between other customers is meerly a coincidence, obviously they all shop at the same store.

With this in mind, I would maybe try to implement a score system, the quicker served, the more points you get. These points may be portrayed in money or some other currency, whatever you like. Thing is, now the player knows they get a reward for doing something and the better they do it (or quicker) the bigger the reward they get.

I would add some sort of shop background interior, doesn't need to be fancy. Guys a potion seller, not a boutique. Normally wood and stone suits the genre pretty well.

If you still wanted to improve it, I would suggest some sort of punishment for the player, a fail state, a "oh damn, I gave that lady the wrong potion, shes going to be using rat poison on her face instead of skin restoration solution". Maybe it's when you make the wrong potion and try and give it to the customner, or maybe its just when you make a wrong potion and then need to throw it away, just something for the player to try and avoid to make it a little more fun. You could even mix it up a little more and add a timer on each customer, making it more likely for the player to mess up and have to pay the price.

I hope I was of some help and you consider some of my ideas if you plan to continue working on the game :)

An interesting idea, it's a shame you couldn't finish it on time! I'm not too sure where the keep it alive theme comes in here, other than just using the name for the shop; there doesn't seem to be any time limit to serving customers, or real indication of how to serve them. Making what to do more obvious would have helped, as pressing the arrow button isn't very intuitive. I did really like the art style. Hopefully you'll be able to finish this some time :)
