The game seems heavily based on RNG and what cards you draw. The fact that money can pretty much only be generated by bread, and I never seemed to pull a card which outputted that I couldn't get past year 7. That is until I only placed the capital and got all the way to year 25. Apart from that I really like the idea and the graphics are good.
that's a nice game, however, there doesn't seem to be a way to gain gold; I might be wrong tho.
A lot of fun trying to figure out how to survive more than a few turns. Was able to get to 25 turns before my economy run out! :cry: Well done!
I mean its a great game, but it is really hard to get started and I dindt even finnnished, because you can start with 3 cities in hand or 3 fields, but then you get mines or other unuseful stuff at that moment and never get bread making city.
Great game. Same as Barney, the only thing I'll say is : the card RNG is unoptimal. I managed to get a lucky roll and play until I got empty cards, I had a lot of prosperity generation (ended the game with 116) but not a single card generating bread without itself consuming bread : I just out-prospered the penality, which doesn't really make sense. Outside of that : it's a great game, I would pretty much like to play a board-game like that with more events, more cards and more everything ! Love the concept.
Perhaps, I got lucky with cards and that's why I didn't face any problems finishing the game. I liked the mood! Got kind of a Dominion card game feeling while playing it actually.
As a Banished enthusiast I just loved this game. There's little too much randomness in my opinion, but the mechanics are really enjoyable. The simplicity of the art style hits a string too, it fits the village set very well. Thanks for the experience.

It looks like a lot depends on the first few rounds. The game is very nice, but I would suggest a larger font, it's hard to read the text.
After 20 try, I don't understand how can I pass the 5th year :sob:
Quite sad that the game is so RnG dependant. If you don't have the right cards in the beginning, "you're toasted".
But still, quite impressive you were able to made this in 48h, and this is a really good game basis. I'm really interested to see what could become the game if you decide to continue working on it, so good job to you!
Nice concept but as far as I can tell there are a lot of times when there's no way to win. I never made it past year 7 and I definitely felt like that was just the time I got lucky. Would be interesting maybe to try a variation where you discard and draw a new hand every year.
I really enjoyed the concept and execution of this game. I got stuck a lot and found myself wanting to discard cards because I knew that I would lose if I put any of them down, but I still wanted to keep playing and do better! Nice job :)
