10/10 fingers would wiggle again

bilalch213 2019-10-09 15:38

Nice little game there! I like some of the dialogues. Good effort!

oneki 2019-10-10 07:23

@bilalch213 Thanks for playing an rating. Returned the favor :)

oneki 2019-10-10 07:34

@xenoxygene Thanks for playing and rating. Enjoyed your team's game!

pedro-miranda 2019-10-10 11:02

Great concept! I like the storytelling and how it fits the theme.

unfortunatelly the controller is kinda frustrating, It is too sensitive. Maybe making the trigger stick your arm out and the right triger move it in all directions would make it better.

Anyway, nice entry

nachtwitch 2019-10-10 13:00

Excellent story, and fantastic gameplay, really co graphics too, 10/10

coachsisyphus 2019-10-10 13:03

Story killin it; I want to know these skills. Great work!

oneki 2019-10-10 13:15

Thanks everyone for the feedback and rating.

@pedro-miranda Definitely fidly, as physics based controlls tend to be. My first experience with them here. So happy for feedback such as this to try different things. Controls sadly, as you likely know, are something you lose the idea of how difficult/easy they are without other people.

alicecrd 2019-10-11 12:25

Very good game, like so much the story :) Good work !

moechen 2019-10-11 13:21

I like the story and the dialogues. The atmosphere is great! I like the clean wall and the contrast between the white space and the black letter. But it hard to control the hand. Great story!

dominas 2019-10-11 16:32

Great narrative! Reminds me of Stanley Parable and Portal. Maybe lack of voices sounded better in my head rather than could have been achieved in such short time. Great stuff.

croewens 2019-10-12 12:07

Controller felt a bit to clunky, but you get used to it after a while! I liked the overall vibe and story!

mickxe 2019-10-12 13:04

I couldn't get it to work with a Dualshock 4, is it a general bug or just me?

hiveminds 2019-10-12 13:13

I liked the storytelling it was well written and added to the experience. The hand mechanic is comedic and is a fun idea to base your game around to use, though I wish it was slightly better to control, it felt slightly weird to control it and it wasn't clicking well enough with how the camera presented your point of view. Slight tweaking with the positioning and pov might have really helped.

But it was really enjoyable, as many said before, gave off Stanley Parable vibes :)

mahalis 2019-10-12 15:07

This is extremely odd and I like it. Spent a while wrestling with the controls until I think I got the hang of it, but I had a really hard time in the second room - got the name plate thing to the edge of the table then couldn't for the life of me knock it off. Easily the most unique control scheme I've seen in an LD game. Nice work.

oneki 2019-10-13 00:50

@mickxe Tested on the Xbox One controller only. Thinking about it, likely didn't add specific setting for DualShock. Thanks for the feedback. Sorry it stopped you from playing.

oneki 2019-10-13 00:52

Thanks @mahalis @hiveminds and @dominas for the kinds words and feedback. Happy you find something intruiging about the control-scheme, as have I. I'll be working on the v2 next week, hopefully something good comes out of it.

mickxe 2019-10-13 06:15

This was a nice concept, and the Surgeon Simulator-style is something I haven't seen in LD before! I got the DS4 to work using InputMapper.

jamioflan 2019-10-15 12:54

That was rather silly, but enjoyable. Although, isn't starting with something and creating nothing the exact opposite of the theme?

oneki 2019-10-15 13:44

@jamioflan Right-o on the theme switch, for the game as is. The idea was the get to the starting point, where you would then start with nothing (but your own knowledge). I tried to at least play a bit around it within the writing, which is quick to produce during jam.

Thanks for the play.

sheepdog123 2019-10-15 17:38

Couldn't Play. There was a runtime error.... :frowning:

rialgar 2019-10-15 20:09

Thanks for reminding me to drink water. The writing was really good. Funny and yet mysterious. I want to know more about this organization that aims to undo creation. See me flailing and giggling here: https://youtu.be/DmeHAnTZxis

oneki 2019-10-15 22:23

@sheepdog123 Oh no! I'm sorry about that. Any other Unreal Engine 4 games that do that for you?

sheepdog123 2019-10-16 01:00

@oneki :shrug_tone1: I'm not really sure. Hmm, is there a special program I need to run Unreal Engine games?

oneki 2019-10-16 16:25

@sheepdog123 There are some runtime libraries that I have not packaged in since it adds into already huge installer. I'd say you've managed to avoid all of those up until now or missing one of the files. I can repackage, you'd have to re-download. Let's wait for a new version of the game to make it worth all the hassle. This was super helpful feedback and something to look after while distributing. Thanks :)

sheepdog123 2019-10-17 21:28

@oneki No problem! Would you like me to send you the screenshot of the error? :)

oneki 2019-10-18 11:38

@sheepdog123 I'm good thanks. :)
