Thank you @sbakolis The link has been updated. I really forgot changing it to public... My apologies
That's a very interesting game concept you decided to make for the jam, absolutely fantastic game
Cool idea! The game definitely needed some balance and limits on the upgrades (my first run i played only with pen and paper. no need for other skills). Some UI Design would be pretty cool tho, just so it isn't the Unity default.
I like the addition of Skill, and it isn't bad for a clicker game. I feel like there was a lack of information given to me though. It wasn't clear to me at least what the % number was on each of the actions you could do. Was it the chance that it would succeed? It also seemed that you need to right click on the new tasks to buy them. I am not sure how, but I managed to break it, I bought the 3 and then the 4th and 5 task types. And cot the % to be -Infinity... so... you may be missing a validation check somewhere?
I feel like it is a good twist on the clicker genre, just needs a bit more polish. :)
I’ll take a break from game development and play a game about game development
Interesting concept, with some balances it would be a nice clicker. Also I myself made a clicker haahaha. Great job!
Cool idea! Clicker games work very well for game jams. Wish there was more feedback though. More sounds, animations and colors when you unlock stuff. It is especially important for a clicker game where the only gameplay is pressing a button. Either way, good job and good luck next game jam :)
Unfortunaly, interface doesn't fit on wide screen monitons (2560x1080). I can't see my money. No possible to play :o( wide2.png
I just reach the 150$ one! It was an interesting meta game
@yaroslav-kravtsov very sorry to hear that. Unfortunately I don't have the means right now to publish a version that works on wide screen monitors, as I am not at home right now. Maybe you can give it a try later? i will message you once it has been fixed. Anyways, the game was set up for 16:9 resolution, meaning that any other resolution will distort the graphics.
Thank you, everyone, for playing and voting on this game! I will go through all of your games in the next few hours! I am alrrady hyped to see what you have come up with :D
@jonas-michael yep, I will check your game again when you say. I recommend to you to use Canvas Scales set Scale With Screen Size and Match set to 1 (Height). This will make you UI works good on any resolution and wide monitors. Here the tutorial about that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4AdT5cKmZQ
@yaroslav-kravtsov I know, I just left it at default scale with width. Will change it once I can!
As I said I played your game today and I'm gonna be honest as I think constructive feedback is better than just kind words
You could have done WebGL build easily and I advise you to do it next time  I, luckily, didn't have problems with resolution but the game doesn't seem to be polished well. I had fun playing it, you did it well on the theme but it lacks some more work. I know not everyone has this much time and I hope you guys had a lot of fun doing this game because intentions were great I think
You made playable game and I wish you hit those 20 ratings (rate more games!) Good job!
@cornel thank you for your not so kind words :D I tried WebGL, but unfortunately the save feature needed for going back to the menu and returning to your last state wasn't supported. That's why I decided against it. I hope I will find some time to polish the game and upload a post-LD version of it!
@jonas-michael they may not look kind but I really had only good intention writing it! I won't argue about saving in WebGL as I haven't tried it yet but good to know why this decision was made.
After all you guys made a game and to be honest - I don't lose my time to rate unfinished and unplayable games
EDIT: I just saw I had problems with resolution because owl was covering Menu button
Nice Idea, I went pen and paper all the way after I failed the first time due to errors. Automated it got it to some subfraction of a second and saw the money coming in. Clicker games are kind of addictive, although this one needs some poish and balancing :)
@cornel I know, I was just joking :P I appreciate your feedback and I am glad you commented! This will at least be a lesson learned for the next LD, maybe even more so an input for this game if I find the time to refine it.
@ausstein thank you for your vote! I am aware of the lack of balancing. I didn't test the game enough at the end, which is why pen and paper is so exploitable. I hope you still had fun with it!
@yaroslav-kravtsov through... let's say remote access I was able to upload a version with the fixed resolution under the link on the top, called Post_LD (zip). I hope xou will give it a try :D
The game's concept is nice but the game requires some balancing as the game is very easy now. The UI elements could have been made look better in this game. Overall, a nice game and I liked it. Nice work.
Thank you @vaibho for your feedback. Balance has been a huge point of criticism and after the voting phase I will probably spend some time and rebalance the game.
Wow, I didn’t expect to see a clicker on LD. This is Original!
Now this is an interesting entry. Incorporating skill and failure into a clicker is a fresh idea.
In the end i managed to conquer the world by just automating paper, which reminded me of universal paperclips.
I did encounter two bugs: * UI Layout does not work outside of 16:9, on 16:10 the money and skill labels are shifted upwards. You can test how your unity game looks with different aspect ratios using the aspect ratio dropdown in the top left of the game view * Overflow on Skill: After some time accruing skill points, my skill value turned negative
@potti thank you for your feedback. I honestly wasn't expecting any other screen ratios other than 16:9. I guess it would have taken a lot of effort to fix the UI for all screen resolutions... As for the skill overflow: I didn't make it to the point where you wiuld earn n"kP", meaning that skill would be scaled down to fit into integers for longer. I will add this soon!
Not bad for a 3 day idle game. The music is simple but fits well with the game mood. Balancing is not the easiest job, but it is essential for this type of game.
@stamestratagem thank you for reviewing the game! I agree, balancing is key to most games and I wish I had more time to spend on that. Hopefully you still liked the game and appreciated the effort we put in :D
@jonas-michael I tried the new version. It's playable and much more convinient, but still have some issues with numbers fit. wide3.png
@yaroslav-kravtsov As I mentioned in a comment before the problem is that all graphics are set up for 16:9 screen ratio. I fear I can't fix these issues. I have neither the time nor the means to fix graphics for every screen ratio. Thank you still for your interest!
