Very tense game
5/5 for the mood !
Very moody game...So intense..
Very spooky game you’ve got here! An updated version of this game with a larger story would be great. You’ve developed a really good scary atmosphere, don’t let that go to waste!
@copper-aardvark-games Thanks, as soon as Ludum Dare is finished, I will put a new version with more content, and more resources that I had already planned
Okay so you totally captured a particular mood here- that's some spooky shit. Amazing work... but heck if I don't get stressed out.
Holy Shit!
The mood is literally 6 out of 5!
It is a very good/spooky game especially with the sound design.
Sadly the theme itself is not really matched but the game itself is insanely good even with the rather low graphic quality. Nice Job!
If you didn't make the music and models, don't forget to opt-out the "Graphics" and "Audio" categories.
@yoanndeplo The Half of 3D Art was my yes, the other half not, because they were assets ... besides the many textures, shaders and the configuration of the post processing are mine ... it includes the audio category, therefore I did Sound design, remix and editing ... however anyone can vote what they want in that category, or simply not vote
A nice little atmospheric game with a creepy factor, you never know who or what is watching you as you fumble around in the dark. I was looking to interact with other things around the map, but was disappointed to see that I couldn't. I'm not sure how the theme is present in the game either. With that being said, this was a neat little experience that seems to hold promise as it gets iterated upon. 3.5 overall!
@exevalon Thanks, man! I did not have time to finish the traps and puzzles I wanted to do. After the Ludum Dare is over I'm going to add all that and more to itch.io
You did a great job creating a very creepy environment/atmosphere! I enjoyed your use of lighting and your sound choice. I wish there was more to do besides go inside and game over and I didn't really see the theme but I think you have a solid base to expand on post-jam. Nice job!
@balance686 Thanks! I really could not work the theme much, except for the story at the end of the game, but your comments here, motivated me to expand the game and do something bigger as soon as Ludum dare finish
Evaluation...
1 - Mechanics and Learning: The mechanics of displacement and camera are almost all explained in the initial screen (in a simple and direct way); missing just explaining the obvious (mouse for camera rotation). Understanding which objects can serve for interaction seemed quite intuitive (how far I played).
2 - Flow: The feeling was tense (given mood of horror). The character starts off on the road (without further explanations, contexts and goals, this helped to bring the flow to the side of the anguish; it may be a good one, in a later version, to leave such matters narratively clear).
3 - Narrative and Polishment: The artistic polish is very good, congratulations for your graphic assets and the choice of your sound assets. They fit very well for the horror mood (as I did not even find the threat, I would say it was terror to me, hahahahaha). The polishment would be more for the narrative character, in my view (and in a later version the composition of the soundtrack itself, to give authorship to the project, if it is in the interest of the producer).
4 - Culture: It has strong ties to the collective imagination and takes good advantage of such questions. You can take advantage of this for the generation of a community of players.
5 - Monetization: I think the game would sell in full on Steam (or another store). I see that you could make a hit with some youtubers or streamers from other backgrounds (who play for the fans to watch), who knows some kind of mutual support.
@gustavo-christino Thanks man, Your feedback was very important to me, and your words motivate me to devote to a new version of this game, with much more content ... Once again, Thank you very much!
There are some strong points to this game like the mood and the sound design but the gameplay overall could've been a bit better, I think. I thought it was cool that you made the shed and the corn field which were neat to explore before I went inside the house, but I would've liked something more to happen than an instant game over. Still kudos on what you were able to accomplish in that limited time! Good job!
@jaywoody Thanks for playing and for feedback, and I'm sure to explore the points you've cited in the new version I'll make. As soon as Ludum Dare finishes
