That was fun, I liked the mechanics and the little song in the background was cute too, as well as the ending! It was a little tedious bringing the sacrifices back, though I had fun just using my sword to bring like 10 of the little demon guys over to the sacrifice pit at once!
I didnt play it because i had to be an Administrator to download it. I saw it was made in gamemaker and i could play some of the other gamemaker games so yeah.
Hey. It was a fun game. Loved the song. Great art. Great mood. Only if the camera wasn't jittery. I would've loved to play it with a little more speed.
A sweet game with a satisfying ending (though she only wanted water, geeze). Collecting the souls was very repetitive, and that was even using the throwing when up on the left ledge. Otherwise, this is a great submission

sweetly satisfying in the best way possible (:
Hey guys, hope you had a nice time during the jam! Next time think of us (mac users) to play your game too! A web build works for all sides!
@danilo-freire Yeah, sorry about that. Unfortunately to create a mac port with Game Maker Studio 2 I'd need a Mac device myself. Next Jam I'd try and remember to get some help with that
You've got a nice little metroidvania upgrade system going. I like the design of the main character and some of the animations were really fluid. The biggest problem with the game is that going back and forth through the same area picking up the same creatures multiple times gets tedious fast. It would've been better to spread them out and have you explore more and maybe have some more platforming challenges.
Also a tip when exporting from Gamemaker (at least when it comes to jam games). Choose "single runtime executable" instead of "windows installer" so people can just run the .exe file directly and not have to bother with an installer.
Edit: Just wanted to add, the little cutscenes were a nice touch.

Design and animations where nice, but the gameplay was quite tedious. With a bit less running back and forth, and enemies that can fight back the game has a lot of potential.

Wow, really nicely done. I wasn't expecting to see a metroidvania like in a game jam! I love your art, the little cutscenes are amazing, music is great, game design could have avoided a few tedious back and forth but it's still good.
An advice I can give you : if you want to have more ratings, you really should avoid releasing a game that needs installation, this is really blocking for a lot of people.
@oda thanks for feedback. Added .exe option

The cutscenes, story, music and sfx were really nice. However the back-and-forth for souls was indeed a bit tedious, but that's something that'll be easily fixed, no doubt. I liked the idea of gaining new abilities and unlocking new areas, and that will surely allow your game to expand into something great. With a little bit honing on walljumping, that ability alone could be the key for instance.
everything rly cool exept of the fact that it is a little bit anoying to walk 5 times for these rats and stuff XD But i like it, great job!
WOW rarely do I see a game with this much charm go to waste. You simply *must* rethink the level design here. I was so ready to fall in love with this game given the humorous and well-executed intro, the fun music, and the character design of the god. However, ain't nobody got time to ferry 10 tediously-place rat corpses to an altar just to progress through the first room.
Marking notifications as ON here, because I'd love love love to be pleasantly surprised to find that this game has been updated. Withholding some ratings for now in case there are improvements.
