Upload a video of the gameplay. I really want to see how the parts on the ship work!

shadoninja 2018-08-14 06:07

Yeah definitely make a YouTube video of you guys playing it. People can still rate it based on that.

@caerul @shadoninja Thanks for the great idea! We may try that out eventually. We've got a working version for windows now, which I understand is more of a pain to play but we intend to keep on working on this project. So hopefully it will get smoother over time and we can have a webGL version too!

Again, thanks for the youTube idea. Ill definitely give your guy's games a try.

Would work on graphics and include more player interaction. But good game. keep working on it. Good idea with youtube videos!

I wanna play your game, but I have only Linux Mint on my machine. Couldn’t rate you. See our game (it’s multi-platform written on LibGDX)

I really liked the music in the game. It was a little difficult to understand what I was supposed to be doing however.

The game was quite confusing. With tutorials/descriptions, it could've achieved a lot more. It fits the theme but when I played I didn't feel like I was running out of space so I felt that the theme wasn't a core influence of the game. The dialogue and situations were fun to read.

Interesting game. I'm going to be honest, I was very confused even after reading the help. It felt like I was randomly attaching parts to my ship, hoping that I wouldn't get hit by random events. I ended up trying to surround my ship with shields but parts would randomly break. I'm not sure if there's supposed to be a strategy or not. Additionally, I found myself randomly clicking on the ship at first to try and figure out where the parts could be attached. I think this game has a good concept, and if it had some more UI-related feedback it could be really great. For example: - Highlighting the parts of the ship that can be clicked when you select a part - Displaying information on the part you are adding when you mouseover the part Just making the above two changes would really improve the experience and make this game feel more polished. All that aside, I really like the concept and the random events were pretty funny and interesting. Great job, keep it up!

I like the approach to the theme. Running out of space taken literally. I wanted to do something like this but I digress... The text tells quite an interesting tale, and the game is pretty consistent graphically. I like the space ship model in blender. Will have to give a try on mobile at some point b/c it looks perfect for shipping to mobile.

I couldn't really figure out how to play this. But I really didn't care cause I really dug the background music. 10/10 just want to jam to that.

I really liked the amount of polish on this game, but the actual gameplay is a bit confusing at first. Maybe add more extensive tutorials.

Nice game, I hope to see more updates and improvments sooner. If you don't bother take a look at our game when we focused on Graphics and visuals and see the results that we got: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/spacelab-42
