For anyone wondering: Downloadable windows-version is actually a .7z file - seems like the fileending was lost during upload or sth.
Edit: also is missing a UnityPlayer.dll - works with a 2017.4 .dll - I upped here for anyone missing it: https://www.dropbox.com/s/9vczvxl7nesw4p6/UnityPlayer.dll?dl=0

I fixed the zip folder. Now it works. :deer:
maybe it's a good idea but I did not understand what to do - I just walked, fired and pressed the buttons and a musical sound was produced as if I pressed the piano, something I should do next?)

One of the nicest game I've played so far! I loved the atmosphere and the sound effects. You managed to mix a shooter, a music game and also a platformer. Nice!
3D graphics looks polished and smooth.
I managed to find a little bug, in the second level my musician-shooter digged into the wall, and remained stuck. screenshot attached!
Thanks for your work, one of the nicest entry in LD.
Cheers from Italy! (and if you want, play my game too, I'll be very happy!) shoot.jpg

Hello!
Very nice game, I liked it! The jump were a bit tricky at first (but I'm probably not very good at it). I'm not sure if there is more than two zones, but I don't know what to do next. If it is the end of the game, maybe a little message to warn the player :).
Also, I had a technical issue: my anti-virus was very reluctant to play the game, I had to deactivate it in order to play the game. I don't know why.
The idea could be developed I think, with rythm based puzzle, and maybe some "music-hell" level where you have to shoot buttons and walk/jump on platform to play the right music (melody with the shoot, chords with the platform).
Thank you :).
I like the simple visuals, it's quite atmospheric, felt part of some alient structures maybe, and I was exploring an abandoned temple with puzzles. eventually I progressed through the 2nd room, but was getting confused as to what I should be doing. I think I was meant to play the notes in the right order... but didn't seem to work , even with lots of random tries, some confirmation sounds or visuals would've been helpful . Nice job!

SPOILER ALERT! FOR ALL OTHERS. READ THIS IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO GET THROUGH THE FIRST DOOR. DON'T READ THIS IF YOU NEVER TRY IT ALONE. I WARNED YOU. YOU COULD DESTROY YOUR EXPERIENCE.
@yohoho-games-2 In the second picture you can see this round giant button thing. You can shoot at it or you can stand on in. It gives you a hint for the right melody and in which order you have to play the notes. Try it again. :D

@memel06 Thank you that you loved this experience. :D Well, at this LD my main focus was on the atmosphere. And for the Plattformer part I'm currently not shure if it was the best idea. Because I saw some friends which played my game and for them it was the most frustrating part in this game. What do you think?
And thanks for the bug report. I will hopefully fix it in the next update in a few days. And yes, I will check out your game. :)

@quentin-warnant @kevar Well, there are currently only two levels in the game. I have something on paper but it did not make it into the game yet. I want to add some more complex sound levels to it in a few days. :)

Here you go. :)
I got stuck after the second challenge, or am I missing something? The audio was really nice - played with headphones and the ambient atmosphere was a nice touch in addition to the audio queues.

@Imphenzia well there is nothing more after you open the second door. I created only these two levels. Maybe a "The End" screen would have been good. I want to add more content in a few days. :)

Raise the stakes, right now you can brute force the puzzles with no gameplay consequences. (which is probably fine for the first few levels)
\+ *Have you considered assigning color to the different tones there's a good reason why simon says does it. Maybe including a unique visual/gameplay element that also helps to differentiate them. (if you are building a memory based game, make things memorable)*
++ *The beam gun feels a little tacked on, something with more physicality could be more satisfying and I'd love to see what you could come up with* ^-^

@Aviland Yeah. I thought about the memory factor a bit because many friends of me had some problems to remember the sounds too. Maybe I make for the next build a more physical order. So that the sound pitches depends on the height position of the crystals in the room. But with color is also a good Idea. I try a bit at first because I think with colors it could be a bit too easy at the beginning but could help more in complex puzzles. Thank you. :D

i enjoyed this one. a chill sort of puzzle solving game. i think it was only 2 levels because the 2nd door opened and there was something in the distance but a gate in front. would like to play more, great job.
p.s. oh and i read your comment on the platforming, i think its a fine addition but simply needs work because it was fairly rigid to control.

Very interesting combination, a little similar to Fract OSC. I love the graphics, great job with the lighting and the strange abstract architecture. I got past the second puzzle, and that cool view left me wanting to explore more of this world!
I personally liked the sound memory aspect. Memorizing specific notes without any other cues (letters, colors, etc.) is something that you rarely see in most games, so it's a surprisingly fun challenge. I'd be interested to see how you could expand on the idea.
This is a really cool concept. The only problems are for me the character controller who is too rough for the requested movement and the sounds for the conbinaison should be radically different. With that the game would be really more juicy.

Really nice idea and good combination of maybe more than two genres!!I love the atmosphere and mood. Though it's a little bit difficult to understand what sound I should shoot for the puzzle, and the camera view make it giddy when jumping in corner.

I solved 2 puzzles. After 2nd one doors opened and there was gate right after them that i could not get through... Am i missing something? Is this very poor end of the game or i sould i do something? I'm confused...
I liked mood though, like in the "Labirynth" (movie / book) - it was great expirience although riddles were very easy (and thats good - this is beginig of game right? :) )
Great game overall.

Hey good one ! pretty nice concept, nice graphics, good atmosphere. I liked it. I would have continued if there were more zones. May be running could be a little faster. If you introduce new mechanics over the time, i think this one has good potential. Well done ;)

This is a very well made LD game, and both the sounds/music and graphics was good. I would have liked a bit better introduction to how I was suppose to play the game, but for a LD game it was okay. Overall was this one of the best games I have played for this LD. Well done.

@Bartosz Thanks. If I find the time I will add more levels because currently only two levels exist. And sorry for the feeling that the ending is unfinished. :D I thought it would be more mysterious if I told the player nothing and he can only see something foggy in the background after the second door. It's a puzzle/riddle game and that was my intension to let the player think about it. I know, maybe a really strange idea. xD
Nice take on the theme! I just missed more visual information about the tones, like colors. The visual are really nice, I liked this low poly style. I hope you continue developing this game, with more levels and challenges.
Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional
