Nice artwork. It reminds me of Dr. Seuss.

I LOVED this, my stram liked it, and it was very well fitting to the theme in all aspects. Thank you for the game!

Liked this one! Very nice :D The audio was really nice and the graphics also!

jack-hipson 2018-04-25 02:09

Really liked the feel of this game. The art and audio are both fantastic. Unfortunately, the game wasn't very fun or replayable because it was based on rock paper scissors. However, I enjoyed watching the castles get built and it's definitely the best rock paper scissors I ever played ;). Great job!

this is funny little game. I like it

Great entry! Art and sound were on point. Very clever idea.

mercurybd 2018-04-25 04:27

I like your theme a lot. Great job.

The concept and illustrations are very charming, and who doesn't want to put King Lear in their place?

Like @jack-hipson says, playing rock-paper-scissors gets a bit tired after a while. I still kept going because I wanted to see all the stages of the tower, and what happened at the end, and I'm glad I did.

Good job on graphics, but there's little else I enjoyed here. On a repetitive game like this you need to pay close attention to how long it takes for actions to take, and each build action and roll felt like it took forever by the end. This wasn't a mix of two genres so much as a mix of two minigames. I don't know what your RPS implementation was, but it's suspicious that there were never ties; it quite felt like there was no actual play involved and you just pressed the button to see if you got a coin flip to continue. Having to individually "pick" each build action near the beginning was pointless, since the choice only matters once you get a cannon. TL;DR good art, meh design.

I love the artwork, aesthetic, and sound in this game. I think you create a really cool mood with the style. The theme combination is great!

However, I only got to play a little bit, because for some reason there seems to a bug that causes the game to stop running after 4-5 moves or so. No buttons pop up and I am stuck.

The rock paper scissor sequence is really satisfying (albeit frustrating, heh).

Love the art style! Good sound work too. Most of what I like about your game came from those two elements. If they matched up a little better I think it would make a big difference, e.g. instead of the hammering sound, play a crisp click sound when the new objects make contact and snap in to place. Anything to make them more cohesive.

Can't say I really enjoyed the RPS game play too much, but this was solid and complete!

Nice work!

The visuals are amazing, the humor is there. If you have time please do another round of brainstorming in the game mechanics side of things.

If possible, consider speeding things up. Waiting for the hammer knocks gets old after a while!

Very cool art style and interesting idea. Some good sounds too. Gameplay wasnt too fun due to simple rock paper scissors which gets a little boring.

mathijsvissers 2018-04-25 10:34

Like the style choices you made art-wise, looks cool. Gameplay isn't very fun though, as it's basically just rock paper scissors. I like the addition of the cannon and dragon, that's a nice little add-on.

Simple and fun game. I like the combination. The art style was simple, the tiny kings a bit cute, and the castles were damn cool. This would be a nice way to pass time when bored, kinda want this game on my phone now, would be cool if one could play against other players/"kings" online or friends or unlock different types of castles. Just goes to say how much I liked it, it has potential if you wanna expand on it more in the future or do more with it : ) Great work (^-^)b

Simple and straightforward. Good execution. I like the art that you did and the music complimented it well.

Really cool style and graphics. I am Trudy the king, but it took forever - I got ahead and dragoned him a couple of times, but that putz Lear got four wins in a row two different times and pulled back into the running. I love the artwork. Weird that there were no ties, but I understand why you didn't do that. Felt like the machine was cheating a little by peeking at my pick, even if it got no benefit.

Nice way to make paper rock scissors interesting! I like the clean black on white style, and drawing style is great.

paula 2018-05-07 21:11

I love the art style, it's awasome!! Also the sound effects are great, good job! I feel i dont have any control of what happens, since i have to counterattack the other king random choice, so i pick one of the options, but i cannot really influence the battle. I repeat myself but since the art is so great and well matched with the sound effects that you have a 10/10
