Cool concept, should be pretty good with a bit more contents, the art is nice too, good work !

Wow, really well done. Top marks from me :v: The only suggestion I have is that the money counter is not that easy to figure out at first. Also, my first try I had negative income almost immediately and not enough money to build anything, so I just sat there waiting for something to happen. With a bit more depth and work I could see this being a sellable game :trophy:

This game is a stroke of genius. I especially love those newspaper announcements. Brilliant!

khofez 2018-04-27 17:33

Very nice concept!

The trebuchet firing didn't work for me...

nuthen 2018-04-29 15:40

Sorry you had trouble firing it! It should allow you to fire it after you've selected a building to launch.

This game is really interesting, but I do not know if there is a problem with trebuchet physics? If not I love the graphics, great job!

One of the better games I played from this jam! Looks really nice, plays well, and the concept is pretty funny!

Nice game with a unique idea and a solid implementation!

That was rather fun and the graphics look fantastic. I usually ended up being more accurate than I thought, at least, while the ground was empty.

shivur 2018-05-04 00:28

Very good idea.

beebo-studios 2018-05-05 00:20

Ha! This is one of the most incompatible combinations I've seen this jam! And it's also fun! Sound and especially graphics are amazingly well done, the game feels really polished. Awesome job! <3

I will play any game with a trebuchet, clearly the best siege engine of them all. Wish we could have seen the citizens [duck](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/motherducker) in cover as the trebuchet spawn flew through the air. We didn't hear any audio, there would be loads of room for added fun there. Beyond that it was a really fun game and as others have said is one of the best theme games we've encountered.

This game is amazing. Your gameplay is solid other than a couple UI bugs that are probably easily fixed, the music of the game is phenomenal, and it goes completely well with the theme. Great Game you should be very proud!

Man. This actually worked really well.

I wouldn't have expected it, but city building actually fits fantastically with trebuchet sim. The tradeoff between large efficient buildings, that are easy to hit, and smaller buildings that don't make as much money was really interesting, and totally emergent just from the mechanics. It would have been nice to have an idea of what each building did though. Sometimes I would get really excited to build a big new structure, only to make myself bankrupt when it plonks down. When it landed on my money generating building it was fine, that's just a consequence of me being terrible at trebuchets, but when it's because I don't understand what the building is going to do it's a problem.

Other than that small suggestion though, everything was really well done. Great work!
