Have downloaded now, does keep crashing (here's the error https://pastebin.com/RTqzyLTt). The small amount of the game I've been able to play looks really good. Graphics look fun, and the concept is good.
Great idea for a game! Keeps crashing when I press Space + A so I couldn't finish the game. *the impure diary ptsd flashbacks* lol
@bcvery1 @LeonLaci I've uploaded a hotfix to the game. Crashes *should* be resolved (if not, please let me know). Sorry for the inconvenience!
This "Worms" concept with an original story work very well, but I have the feeling that I can't do nothing. When I'm moving sometimes the game closes. Good work anyways!
Game's still crashing on me whenever I press space on the ground. From a little I played I noticed that you had a good idea and great sound effects. [Windows]
So the crashes should be resolved for good now. The Windows version was still bugged because Game Jolt decided not to put the correct version up as the main download... Thaaanks Game Jolt <3
There are some collision issues but otherwise it was fun! The voices cracked me up and the idea is interesting.
Really fun game! Really well done! It was really really awesome!
Sorry, but I cannot grasp the goal of the game. Where do I have to go? It takes a lot of time to discover the map, because I have to watch all the dead deers and their running animations, without them actually moving (most of the time).
There are some problems with wall collisions (you touch a wall and lose all your momentum)
I really like the art style, the voices and the background music.
I don't really get the point of this. It's very slow, especially with how much time is wasted looking at the enemies not moving, and it doesn't seem like there's any way to avoid damage if the necromancer randomly decides to shoot you.
It also froze every time a bomb spider exploded and the game over menu didn't work at all.
I do like the idea of a turn-based/story-driven platformer though.
Looks really good. I died on the first stag, but the game looks really well made :D
I liked that you gone to the trouble of making up a narrative and some kind of concept, not the first turn based platformer I played this jam, it can sort of work as a concept i think, although its tricky. For me a couple of things made this experience frustrating, I wasn't entirely sure if i was meant to make it to the necromancer guy or somewhere else. I thought to the necromancer, but it looks like the path can get completely blocked off by bones. The movement is not great, jumps are very floaty and get snagged on walls a lot, then the turn ends and you drop down somewhere you didn't want to go. Also watching each enemy turn seems unnecessary and slows everything down, especially as many don't seem to move much. The music was quite good and fit nicely, and I really liked the crow.
Why is "Story" in quotation marks?! :P Great voice acting. I enjoyed the variety of enemies. Music set a nice mood. But then a bomb blew up on me then I couldn't do anything. I was about 4 turns from finishing (I think)! The worst part was waiting 30 seconds for me to take my 3 seconds of movement. Fix the wait and you might have something.
Really interesting game! I liked the mechanics, most of the visuals and the mood created. And I laughed pretty hard when I heard that line where you coughed :) Unfortunately the game is a little buggy, the platforming could use some polish and most of the enemy moves don't really matter too much. But this all stuff that can be fixed and improved upon. Overall, I enjoyed this quite a bit and managed to finish it on the second try. Good job overall!
Interesting concept, and I like that you tried to pack in a lot of ideas. Unfortunately, you were more ambitious than you could execute on in the time you had! The biggest issue is that it's just too darn hard - the fact that the player can take 1/3 of the health in damage every turn, randomly, is incredibly frustrating. The fact that the player can easily get stuck on walls ends up wasting a lot of turn time and I missed jumps several times because I overshot, got stuck on the wall, and then ran out of time and fell back down again.
That being said, a fully balanced and bugfixed version of this would be really cool. I love that it's basically a bare platforming level at the beginning and the enemies and obstacles appear over time.
