Okay, this looks pretty intimidating. Lovely idea, tho - VIM/EMACS the strategy game :D

First, I really like the idea of this game, even though it might be seen as more of a novelty game. I want to play it.

But I can't for some reason! The MOVE command doesn't seem to work and the HELP for it doesn't even come up. I tried building, and it took my money, but nothing happened. The first time I played the enemy eventually came up with soldiers and killed me, the second time they didn't seem to move (from my SURVEILLANCE, which did work).

I'd love to play more of this, but I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if it is broken. Either way, I'd love to see an updated release of this. Two things I would suggest right off the bat that would improve play (beyond the issues I've mentioned): 1) Let me hit Up to access previously typed commands. 2) Give me some shortcuts for commands. "SURVEILLANCE MOVE BY 5 5" is a long command, but "S BY 5 5" would be much more manageable. Similarly "H" for "HELP", "M" for "MOVE", and so on.

Please let me know if I am missing something or if there is a fix to let me play this!

Hmmm, i really don't know what went wrong since it works fine when I tested it.

I'm really tight on time so I can't focus on fixing it right away, but I promise to look into it. If nothing I'll post a link to a version with a debugger so you can send me what goes wrong...

The game did not seem to work at all. I could not move my unit, i could not build anything although i saw the credits were decreasing so SOMETHING happened. I could get to the help and i could move the camera but that was about it. I am still impressed with what you made and it's more than I've ever done, and i would love to play it how it's supposed to be played if you manage to fix it. If you do, message me on my game so I can check yours again! :smiley:

I agree to the others, it seems intimidating at first, and the commands are just way too Long. Anyways, I really like the idea, since I planned on doing something similar at first, but I found it too hard to do. I'd like to Play maybe an improved Version of this game, since it makes a very good Impression.

I have wanted to do this type of game many times, but now I do not have to do it anymore :) Understanding the commands was very difficult. Some examples would be greatly appreciated!

You have to type a command to open the window that shows what commands you have to type to know what command you have to use to do an action etc... and the ennemies attacks you in real time.

I'm not entirely sure what's happening. The DESTROY command appears to work, but MOVE does not (i.e. `MOVE c0 BY 1 0` does not work, nor does `MOVE c0 TO 27 75`). `SURVEILLANCE MOVE` does work, however.

I'm afraid I can't really rate this game, simply because I can't really play it. If you want me to leave a rating anyways, say so, but I can't really give much useful information.

I do think it might be kind of fun if it worked -- but I'm afraid I simply don't know.

A bit weird that it works for some and for some it doesn't. However, I'll do some testing on other computers to see what's happening, hopefully i'll have it fixed soon :)
