Enjoyable little visual novel. Nice art and use of photography. No audio but that's ok. Story generally fitted theme. Choices felt a bit inconsequential sometimes, not sure why. Overall a short but satisfying story.

A very general story with nice graphics. Sadly, I expected the endings at the beginning :/ Would be more interesting and unique, if you had added some more choices for the gameplay. But after all, good job :)

Awesome game! i like graphics and story. I want more variations for passing the game :)

love the story and the message it gives

Very nice art, nice mix of drawing and pictures, they blend together quite well. There don't seem to be very big choices, probably because you were running out of time. Sure, the story was a litlte cliche, but it was also very evocative. And junie is very beautiful! :-)

You can be my artist any time!

Wasn't expecting a visual novel, but it was really beautiful and I had to give it a shot

Really enjoyed the story as well.

Very nice art! The animations and expressions really add to the feel of the game.

Really cute art, i love it! I think the story about greed that consumes you the more money you get is a little bit rushed, but i do understand that you haven't got much time to do a more developed one, so that's fine for the jam version. Overall it's a really well made novel, good work!

Nice Art. I love the character designs and the backgrounds. Although I am not a fan of the story, I like how it relates to the theme.

Do you have a website or blog that I can find more of your art? It is wonderful! The visual novel was nice but I wish there were more things I could influence. There were points where text ran off the screen and some minor spelling errors. I have never seen a visual novel for Ludum Dare before, it's nice. Have you tried using Renpy? If you haven't, it's a super easy to use + "program" visual novel maker. Nice entry!

Thank you all for your feedbacks :)

Looks like my art is way better than my story-telling ahah

Sure, I have a Facebook page where I (used to) upload my drawings/experiments with various softwares : https://www.facebook.com/artkyoute/ (It's in french though but drawings don't speak)

I know about Renpy yeah, but I wanted to try with Unity in case I wanted to add more various gameplay elements :) (point n click, platformer, turn based battle...) For example, last year, I made a point'n'click visual novel game : http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-37/?action=preview&uid=125666 (this one was programed in JS with Cocos2d-X)

i really liked the graphics, and the story was interesting! very solid visual novel in such a short time, good job! :^)

I agree with @bart-huylebroeck that story was a bit too cliche. But why not? It fits the the theme nicely. Not a big fan of using photos as backgrounds (but that's understandable when you have only 72 hours). Characters looks great. Overall it's a solid jam entry.

petr-belohlavek 2017-12-09 19:59

The story is way too cheesy but the graphics is pretty nice. The theme is on point but I was mainly bored during the game due to lack of action and decisions.

abcdef65g 2017-12-12 00:10

Very nice use of theme! I like the art too, especially the animations, since they added a lot of life to an otherwise static visual novel. I enjoyed the whole game, my only small gripe would be the lack of proofreading (which is understandable since LD is a race against the clock!).

On a a sidenote, I could only find two endings, good and bad. I'm curious, how do I reach the third one?
