This won't work on an dk 2 i assume?

kumoi 2017-12-05 05:59

No, it unfortunately needs the CV1 with touch controllers. Maybe in a post-jam version I'll adapt for VIVE as well.

I have a Vive so I can't play it D:

Sorry, can't rate this one adequately as I don't have a VR. I'll base it off of the video. Maybe next time add some functionality that a non VR user can go off of?

I don't have a VR, but I give you kudos for making a game **for the future!** My ratings for you are based on the content I have access to. Either way you spin it, I like what you guys did here. HOORAH! (navy)

I dont have VR either but from the video I rated this game! I really like it, I metal detect IRL and this is really cool. Finding the mines, a better twist on mine sweeper. Amazing work team!

From the comments I'm reading, I'm guessing this is the average experience of a player without access to a VR set of sorts:

It's a shame that most of the people in here won't have a chance to play the game to it's full extent, since the video makes it look very good. Making a VR game in 3 days is doubtfully an easy feat. This is rather impressive.

Alas, I also consider it unfair that said entry barriers make such a hard work fade into obscurity, so I'll spread the word around and see if someone with VR would be willing to check it out. Do check on streamers or youtube people to give it more awareness, since odds are that it's the best way for the average LD aficionado to experience what you built in here. [In behalf of my team](twitter.com/whalesandgames), we hope that you keep experimenting in the future! :whale:

The crutch is in interesting locomotion idea, unfortunately it had me lean over way too far and it hurt my back after a while. Is there any way to adjust the height? I also never used the mine detector, but instead always had the shovel out that would just dig up any mines in front of me.

It took me a little while until I figured out what I was supposed to do, but once I did I got the hang of it quickly. Overall, I think the concept is fun but could use a little more polish. Cool to see some other VR games though so a big bonus just for that!

*On a selfish note*: As you seem to have access to a VR headset, I would love if you could try our own VR game [**Rattletrap VR**](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/rattletrap-vr) and let us know what you think. Cheers!
