Wow, it's really funny to see we actually have a very similar concept with a totally different gameplay !

Too bad you can't managed to have more time, this have a very good potential and congratulations for having shipped something on time, it's already fun to play !

Hey, nice game and game idea. My score is 65. I didn't understand what to do with red circles tho.

skipyc 2017-12-05 10:45

@w96k Thanks for the feedback! When you get to score 40 the letter 'A' from the red circle disappears, so you need to remeber wich key kills the circle, to make it a bit harder :p. The same goes for the other shapes when you get a higer score.

Score - 93. Not bad idea, but the complexity is growing very fast. And there aren't borders( I can go every side and don't see player!

zax 2017-12-05 12:36

simple and cool i like it! don't forget check out my game too :)

Neat idea and good work for only 5 hours. Some sound would have been nice.

xahell 2017-12-05 14:01

Very catchy concept, I found it very funny.

The difficulty growth very fast, which I appreciate. It's a good game for a 4 hours job, I would have liked to see it with more features.

alexfalkenberg 2017-12-05 15:05

That got crazy-hard really quickly, haha! I, too, wasn't sure what the red circles were about, but I see you've explained it in another comment, so I went back and tried it again, but still just insanely overwhelming, fast.

Besides the pure volume of baddies, overlapping of enemies made it even harder to figure out what key I really needed to be pushing, so at some point I was just mashing to save myself. With some difficulty balance I could see this being really fun. Some more graphical whizziness and audio would carry this even further. Congrats!

Nice frenetic gameplay! Good job :)

You know, there used to be a typing game in China, and we played it for a long time at school,That reminds me of these days,XD.The game is pretty interesting!

hdtv 2017-12-05 18:02

Surprisingly fun for a typing game. I could see myself coming back to play this some more. A great start given the time, and could be great with a bit of polish.

basti 2017-12-05 21:19

Nice idea, fits the theme very well. Reminds me of typing of the dead, only even more stressful since you have to keep in mind which letter has the smallest proximity to your player. Really fun!

There could be more stuff going on visually, but since you only had 5 hours to put into the game I understand why you kept it simplistic.

Cool game!

Wow christ, I thought I had a handle on the general situation and then suddenly this gigantic swarm of letters was upon me!

I could definitely come back to this, despite its simplicity!

I was initially confused how to kill the mysterious red circles, until reading the instructions you had posted here, definitely scary when you're ingame though and you're trying to find a letter to read hah

Great work! :D

This escalates really fast! It would be nice if there was another kind of feedback for when you don't hit the closest one (maybe a sound effect when an additional guy spawns).

shemokam 2017-12-09 20:39

I like the idea, it has SO MUCH potential ! keep it up !

gruhh 2017-12-10 11:32

The game scales quickly and I find that interesting. I especially like the choice of controls. I think some little things could improve the feel of the game:

- Visual feedback for actions, to give more power to actions - Permanence, imagine if the defeated enemies remained on the screen after defeated, could accumulate on the edges - And maybe some special powers to give a little more chances to the player when the number of enemies grows too big, like "freeze time for 5 seconds" or "finish with all the enemies on the screen at that moment"
