An interesting concept with great graphics, but very difficult, tedious, and time consuming to control the entire herd.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD40 → Sheperdy!

Hi all, what you saw up till now was an old version. We had problems with our web host. Problem solved now!
This was an excellent idea. I found myself yelling "come by Jess!" at the screen more than once. Your game deserves more ratings so get out there and rate a few more.
Those wolves are vicious and not easily scared, but the level that really did it for me was "fenced in" as I just couldn't get the sheep to do what I wanted in time.
To quote a tune by Michael Nyman, "herding sheep is best left to shepherds".
Cool entry, the game is really impossible to win but it's very fun. I enjoyed to see those stupid sheeps falling into the water with an awesome sound. :)
I really like the concept, but I don't think the level design complimented the gameplay that well. It felt frustrating rather then rewarding a lot of the time as I had to herd individual sheep which weren't sticking with the rest very well. The pixel art was really great, and the sound effects we simple but well done. It fit the theme very well and the level of polish was excellent!
My dog is a Border Collie, and I know he'd love to play this haha.
This is quite a cool idea. The flocking feels quite nice, and the game overall plays well. The only thing I miss in the game is a place to move the sheeps to, as, right now, the game is missing a way to actually beat the levels (you can simply do nothing and wait until the time expires and still beat the level).
I seriously think that, with some extra work, this can be turned into a quite nice mobile or web game. Overall, good job!
I forgot to mention: I replied to your comment in my entry, Yottaman. Hopefully, it may clarify the game a bit. If you got some time to check it out again, it would be awesome: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/yottaman
It was possible to see well the use of flocking algorithms. I liked the concept and the graphic art. The level design was also interesting. I finished the game, in some stages with only one sheep. Hahahahahahah.
Funny. :)
Very good idea, original and funny! The difficulty is quite strong, but it's challenging. Perhaps it would have been interesting to set a minimum threshold to be reached per level?
Controls are pretty tight but I feel exactly like a dog guarding sheep.
I love the soundeffects. It would be awesome if you could share or link some of the used algorithms.
Really interesting as my own game is also about sheep. But the gameplay differs a lot.
Awesome!! I like it!
That was great!
I felt so inadequate every time a sheep drowned. Come back, sheep! Don't drown!
Good job on a fun and cute game! I love the look of the tiny pixel flock of sheep running around.
I did feel like I had more fun in the levels without water just trying to go through a maze of fences. The water and wolves were a bit too frustrating for me haha. I loved pressing the mouse to bark but that sometimes conflicted with the UI for me.
Really fun game! I did drowned 27 sheeps but I'll get over it :joy:
Fun game, though it was quite cool. You managed to implement a lot of different mechanics and levels.
