It was fun! Nice job!
Fun! Got up to like 15 before I started accidentally killing some of them flying past them to reach the ones on the other side.
I found it a little confusing that the colors went orange - green - red, since that made it a little hard to tell at a glance if the planet needed more sun (orange) or less (red). A different color for the orange might make this bit easier - perhaps a greenish yellow?
Good work!
Nice idea, but I missed some animations and more visual feedback. In the HTML5 build I wasnt able to extend the rope. Congrats for your work!
@sovogirl: Thanks ! :D Glad you enjoyed it! looking forward to trying your game too! the cats are adorable! @monika: Thank you for playing our game! And I agree, definitely taking in the suggestion ot change the basic dry planet to another color so that its an obvious cool to warm :D @goxua: Thanks for playing our game! and yes we're definitely lacking in that dept right now :D will beef it up with more time :D
I was never able to get past one planet / don't understand how to get the game to progresse...
It's a decent prototype, but lacks a lot of visual feedback, or clear visual feedback. It was kind of hard to understand the goal and how to achieve it. Pacing started out really slow and then complexity ramps up very quickly. I guessed the plusses meant a planet was doing good, because minuses clearly indicated a freezing planet, but then there was no symbol for a too hot planet, only a color and the lack of a symbol.
Also, do the planets heat and cool at different rates from eachother?
@mynameismow The point of the game is to warm the planet up, get the planet to be in the +++ state and when you do that long enough, it levels up. A new planet appears and you do the same for the new one. If you were playing the web version and nothing happens when the sun is near the planet, it's probably a bug.. :( You can try the win/macos build to see if that works for you.
@joramwolters thanks. Yep, planets at different level cool at different rates.
Very nice game you have here! I like the graphics and the sounds are good. Great concept. Goodluck!
Check out my game if you like! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/virus-detected
This from two comments up:

Needs to be posted somewhere prominently. I too was lost, and it was the web version, but there was nothing wrong with the web version, I just didn't know what to do, how to progress. Once I read your comment, I tried again, and it was smooth sailing. Once I figured that out, it was a nice game. Oh, and the lovely title is what brought me here. Cute graphics too. And it's an original take on the theme, which I appreciate.
This is a super innovative mechanic. Great artwork too. Even without reading your comments I was able to figure out how to play by trial and error. Nice job!
@illabom Hmm, I don't remember adding any audio to the game, but thanks!
@mahalis Thank you!
@cubeeo Yea, the intention was to let the players figure it out as they go along. I guess the hints/feedback wasn't enough to motivate them into the right direction. Thanks for taking the time to REALLY test out the game.
The art and gameplay are great, but I could never manage to keep them all at a good temperature so then one old planet after another cooled down (except for the first planet which never cooled down) and I lost.
Really cool game, though you could've added some (even sampled) music just for the atmoshpere. But overall gamedesign and art work is great.
I thought this was a really cool concept (plus the art was nice). I couldn't make the rope shorter or longer, might be related to my laptop layout, "weird keys" sometimes don't work on all computers.
This was a really interesting take on the theme! Nice submission!
Cool idea, sadly couldn't really experience the full extent of the gameplay due to my keyboard lacking separate bracket keys.
Really interesting concept that ties in well with the theme, but some parts were a bit unclear (the numbers on the planets, do they show that the planets 'level up' as time goes on?) Graphics were really nice! Although some BG music and perhaps a stronger gameplay goal would be good.
A very cute and innovative game! Keeps you very busy, the more you get, the more trouble you are in. Great entry.
Great idea, hard to control, but good gameplay. It feels likes it could be expanded a lot. Congrats!
nice idea. you should definitely develop this game further.
