I love these types of puzzle games. Fits the theme very well. It gets very hectic in the later levels when there are loads of the lights flying around. Nice music too!

Nice game! Just unfortunate that the mouse movement (at least with my system) are laggy. This made it difficult to change portals quickly at the later levels. The music and graphics are nicely done.

Pretty lights .... ooooh... ahhh Also, I really like puzzle games :)

Would have been cool if the lights could merge and change colours.

Nice puzzle game, the puzzles were complex and having multiple balls made it a real challenge!

I really like those shadows and glowing graphics !! The gameplay was little confusing however ! But all in all a very solid game entry :) ! Cheers

Love the smooth dynamic shadows, nice touch. Quite a challenging puzzle game of sorts. Great work.

Wow. Hard puzzle. I love puzzles. But I got stucked on the first "two lights" levels. I'll give a retry later, but I played enought to know it's a good entry. Well done! :)

The ingame tutorial is simple but effective, exactly how it should be! The learning curve is a bit on the steep side, but the feeling of accomplishment is all the more satisfying. The level design is creative and ingenious, challenging but still fun. I love how you include the non-interactive levels behind menus, it makes the whole game appear coherent, not just the gameplay. The graphics are a little inconsistent (I personally find the font somewhat unfitting, and the tiles a little bland), but you make up for it with the really nice light and shadow effects. Music is a nice touch, and matches the mood quite well.

Level 7 was the one I started to struggle, level 8 was my favorite. My brain isn't made for time-sensitive puzzle games...

Not sure what the connection to the theme is -- the more lights there are, the harder? Anyway, as long as the game is fun, I don't think that should matter overall. I loved playing, thanks for making it, and congrats on finishing! :)

Seems like a cool game, but I can't see the whole level because the window seems larger than my monitor. :(

Great idea, really challenging puzzle. Love the visuals as well, good job!

+Solid puzzle game

+Graphics and music are nice

+1 for using Godot

-1 for providing only Windows build :(

teekeks 2017-12-07 16:05

@yancharkin it was made with a nightly build for the 3.0 beta so I only got the windows export to work without crashing. Sorry about that :(

yancharkin 2017-12-07 17:39

@teekeks Because source code available it wasn't a big problem, just launching game took a little more time.

Nice game, I like to see puzzle games made in Ludum Dare, and it is nice to see you are using Godot. The only concern I have is about the puzzle progression, and there are two main concepts to create great puzzles that I think you should reinforce; the first one being the capacity of solving a puzzle with a toolkit instead of a right answer - basically when you force the player to find the correct solution that you've planed, the puzzle gets rigid instead of creative and challenging, for example, the Rubik's cube, you do not have a specific solution, but you have certain moves you can do to find your own solution. The second concept is more complexity from less content, as your game progress you start building more complex levels that do not necessarily creates more interesting puzzle, and again I like to think about the Rubik's cube, you have a lot of complexity in a very simple cube, it does not need lots of content to hook you, so, I think you could have a clearer level design to attenuate the raw complexity. Overall, great game and nice job!

I was so happy once I realized this was 2D Portal, very well done.

This is a very nice little puzzle game. The graphics and sound are perfect for this type of game. Seriously amazing job! The resolution was a bit wonky for me but didn't stop me from playing. I don't really have anything constructive to say because its pretty much all there. Very well done, congratz

Best of luck to you!
